I had 2 “contractors” come and give me estimates prior to calling Orrin. I knew a true craftsman/carpenter like Orrin would be my best bet, but I wanted to get several estimates. When Orrin arrived he looked at the space and asked me what my vision was. I showed him some photos of how I imagined it looking and he was very honest with me about everything up front. He had ideas I didn’t think of, such as matching the trim of the storage cabinets and wall panels to the ones I had already existing in my home. He was meticulous and I immediately knew he was the guy for the job. Orrin is a woodworker and a craftsman. He is a complete professional though and through. He is talented beyond words, and though my project was small, he gave it the utmost attention and care to the details. I am so extremely happy with the window seat, and it just adds so much more to my space than the strange, pointless “bump out” I had to stare at every day. Everything is just perfect, and the extra storage space is amazing! He even added a light fixture and did the electrical work as well. I cannot recommend Orrin enough. After searching endlessly for stools I settled on my current ones but they were only meant to be a temporary fix. I have continued to search over the years for new stools and am currently at a loss with what to do. The first picture are my current stools and no the wreaths are not always there. I wanted to give a feel for the color of the island. I plan to lighten the walls after the holidays but the dining table and chairs are staying. The only change I may make to the dining area is adding fabric chairs to the end. The counter stools I'm currently looking at are the Dayna Stools from Ballard Design and I'm thinking about getting them in rubbed cream. My question is will the lighter color be ok? I like the back design on the stools I thought it would look cleaner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The space was opened by vaulting the ceiling and extending the height of the cabinets. What a great and modern update! **Q: Filled In Sunken Living Room Scottsdale 85254** *(in Before & After)* What a gorgeous makeover. This 1976 room originally had one of those "Ankle-breaker Orthopedics' Delight" sunken living rooms. We filled this in and now the entire house is on one level, and the space ties together so nicely. No more worries about guests unexpectedly taking a wrong step and tumbling down.
