> Loved working with Maria. She is great at creating your vision and encouraging you to stretch and take a chance on her ideas. My new house is becoming a home. I plan to continue more after Covid and back to work. Hopefully, she can get pictures soon.

> It was so nice working with Maria. We were new homeowners, tight on money, and she respected that. She was able to rearrange and decorate our family room, using pieces we already had but had no idea where to put! She did a fantastic job! My favorite part was finding “gems” in our basement or tucked away, and Maria finding the perfect spot for them! She is an expert at freshening a room! Thank you Maria!!

> I loved working with Maria. She really listened to what my vision was and worked well within our budget. We wanted to keep some existing pieces and we needed a keen eye to incorporate the new with the old and she did just that. The items she picked out were pretty and practical. because of the beach location, we needed the furniture to be comfortable and durable enough to withstand 3 young grandchildren! We look forward to working with her again on our 2nd floor project in the very near future.

> All I can say is, I love my house -- thanks to Maria Portera Interiors, LLC. Really do! What started out as a simple consultation to fix some dated closets doors, turned into a 6 month collaborative redesign of my kitchen, living room, dining room, and entry way. I am so thankful I made that first call. From the first visit, Maria saw my space in a way I never conceived. Moving my existing furniture, she reclaimed my home -- making it more open, more accessible, and far more interesting. From that, I knew she had the vision to take the space even further. Providing me different items of varied price points, textures, and styles -- made me realize I was working with someone who cared about my opinion, my budget, my family -- so very important. The end result: a home I love... every part -- from the layout, to the floors, the art and rugs. Thank you Maria -- you nailed it.

> Portera Interiors was a pleasure to work with. I really loved the collaborative process with Maria. She helped transform my space into an inviting home. She solved my storage problems in unique and stylish ways and created a soothing color scheme. I love living here and showing off my home!

  - Description: Classic is always in. Updated a 29 year old designed room with the same furnishings. The sunroom of this exceptional CT villa is a special gem. We moved the sofa that was blocking the view of the gardens and opened the wrap-around French doors. We decluttered and balanced the original furniture placement for a current, comfy style. Then topped off the new room with fresh flowers from the garden.

The family room and dining room are transformed from a dark space to bright cheerful rooms. Flowers and greens from the client’s garden fill her favorite vases. And her collections of plates, various books and decorative objects - even hand made figurines she made as a child - are showcased beautifully to create a warm home. Before photographs of the family room and dining room are included to show…

## Community Q&A

**Q: love the rug, where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for the question. We moved the rug from the dining room to this family room because it's the perfect match to compliment the stye and color palette of the room. You can't see in this photo that the dining room and family room are one large room. Then, we found a red rug in the storage area that was the perfect size and color connector of the red accent color in both rooms. Now, the rugs complete the room flow.
