A Stitch In Time, in business since 1985, is a decorating company located in Middletown, Delaware.   We design and create custom window treatments for residential as well as commercial jobs.  Our convenient shop-at-home service was designed to encourage the customer's personality and dreams to shine by having our decorator come out to your home and guide you with samples of popular fabrics, trims, rods, and ideas for soft treatments on your windows. She also brings a full line of blinds, shades and shutters so that you can see them in your home next to your own furniture, wallls, floors and carpeting.  We can give your windows a touch of your own personal style.  We take the guesswork out of choosing those perfect matching or coordinating colors.

The owners, Susan and Thomas Flanagan, are experienced and knowledgeable in the products they sell.  From custom curtains, drapes, valances, bed coverings, and cornices in decorator fabrics, to an entire and complete line of custom Hunter Douglas Blinds, Shades, and Shutters.  "With the cost of heating and air-conditioning rising at an alarming rate, a homeowner can actually save 10% or more by insulating their windows with our energy efficient products.  An R-value is assigned to each of our blinds and shades, plus its ability to reflect heat is noted.  Ultraviolet light entering the home damages your furnishings, but you can prevent that damage with our shades," says the owner, Susan Flanagan.

Our installers are certified and experienced, and our customer service can't be beat.
