> We hired Kelly to design a rehab on an old lake cottage in NY.  Cottage was in family for many years and thus had much emotional baggage.  Kelly worked hard on a design that balanced a desire to modernize yet preserve the unique old cabin charm.  She managed the selection process for a GC and kept close watch over construction progress such that the outcome is excellent.  A perfect interpretation of what we wanted.  Kelly is a real dedicated and talented professional!

**Q: Can you tell me the color of the cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore 'Fieldstone' - the cabinet maker also did something to antique the finish

**Q: How did you achieve the white pickled look on the walls?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We mixed white floor paint and water and 'white-washed' the wood so the knots would show through

I loveee the look of the walls.. just curious on how this will be in the winter time, or can u do some type of outside installation to keep it from being to cold? Beautiful picture.. I want this house.. =)

A: There is exterior insulation on this room.  The open studs are a 'faux' look to match the existing look of the cabin.  We insulated the entire house on the outside to not lose the original feel of the house.
