> We are repeat customers at Pristine. 12 years ago they did a kitchen remodel that we were very happy with, and we decided to use them again for a bathroom addition that we recently completed. Nathan, Mike, and crew continue to live up to the high expectations that they set for themselves. Pricing, while not the cheapest, reflects the high quality of the work done, and they stick to that price without hidden costs. Some change orders are to be expected along the way, but there is no "gotcha" moment where you're spending way more than you thought you would. Quality, top notch. Workers come every day, on time, and work all day long. The work site is only empty if we are waiting on inspections. Nathan has a passion for his work that shows, and he gives great recommendations. Great customer service and the project runs very smoothly. Happy to recommend them for any project and will hire them again!

> Horrific!!! So incredibly unprofessional, discourteous, and abhorrently rude; and without exaggeration, will literally take YEARS to complete a simple!! Avoid! AVOID!!

**★★★★★ — KAREN Haddy, March 2019**

> Nathan and his crew at Pristine Construction did an absolutely phenomenal job on our kitchen redo, which involved a complete redesign and ripping everything out down to the studs. Without altering the footprint, they actually made the kitchen feel twice as large. The cabinet work is incredibly precise, and the tile backsplash gorgeous. The icing on the cake -- the entire project was estimated to take 3 months, and they finished in 2 months. No surprise charges; everything exactly as billed. Our project included replacing a number of light fixtures and doing some painting (interior and exterior) too. We would hire them again in a heartbeat! You can see photos of our kitchen on this site -- white cabinets above the counters, dark blue below.

**★★★★★ — Lance Korb, Jan. 2019**

> We hired Pristine to remodel our kitchen, They did an great job. The work was completed early, there were no additional charges and the quality of the work was excellent. Every day of the project, either Nathan, Mike or the two of them would come by to coordinate with their workers and to provide us with what to expect in the coming day(s). We would highly recommend Pristine to anyone looking to remodel their home.

**★★★★★ — Robert Woodward, July 2018**

> The experience of working with Pristine Construction on our complete bathroom remodel greatly exceeded my expectations. At least one of the owners was on site every day, and from the moment construction started they did not skip a day of work. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable. I can't imagine hiring another company in the future.

**★★★★★ — Cris Bain-Borrego, June 2018**

> We are still pinching ourselves every time we walk into our new, beautiful kitchen! Thanks to Nathan, Mike and their great team for making what is supposed to be a nightmare into a great experience and for giving us the outcome we could only dream about. Nathan said his goal was for us to be 110% happy… and we are! From Nathan’s designs and constant reassurances, to Mike’s “can-do” attitude, to Sabino’s expertise, to Milton’s perfectionist painting, to Faustino’s friendly smile and Jesus and David’s consistent clean-up, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole Pristine family and would recommend them to anyone. They are not the cheapest in the market, and don’t apologize for that; but we wanted our project completed professionally, with attention to detail and quality and on time... and Pristine truly delivered!

**★★★★★ — Abigail and Michael Jaye, March 2018**

> We chose Pristine Construction in Sherman Oaks to do an extensive remodeling of our home in Valley Glen.
> It was quite a job: Over 1100 sq. ft. of new construction (a new master bathroom, kitchen, pantry, laundry room, ½ bath powder room, recording and video studios, plus a meditation room) all while leaving the front part of the house intact.
> From our first interview, we were impressed with Nathan Moses, Pristine's owner. He was knowledgeable and helpful, and had a great sense of humor.
> Not only did he connect us with previous clients as references, he also arranged for us to tour the homes and talk to the owners. When one homeowner greeted him with a big hug, we were impressed. After all, many homeowners are ready to kill their contractors by the time the project is completed!
> We’d heard so many horror stories about major construction projects, we were very leery about an undertaking so big. But Nate knew the process inside and out. He took our questions in stride. His confidence and reassuring manner made us feel that we were in good hands. When it came time to discuss our vision for our house, Nate patiently walked us through the entire construction process.
> And he proved to be good for his word: Pristine had everything together, from the consulting architect, to demolition, foundation, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, flooring, wiring, permits, inspections, cabinetry -- everything down to installation of our drawer-pulls.
> Before starting, we asked Nate if he thought we could live in the front of the house during construction. “How much pain can you tolerate?” he asked with a smile. We took the hint and rented an apartment nearby, and came by every day to check on the progress.
> Our construction site was a well-oiled hub of activity: Foundations being poured, framing went up, and rough plumbing going in. Nathan and his partner Michael Malka orchestrated everything with professional efficiency.
> Bottom line, excluding some preliminary surveying, asbestos abatement and discussions with the architect, our project was done in 5 months. Pretty amazing for something of this magnitude.
> Today, we’re enjoying an airy, spacious home that seamlessly integrates our classic California bungalow with a striking new wing.
> We give major props to Pristine for their attention to detail, follow through, and courteous, efficient workmen who went the extra mile to meet the schedule.
> So would we use Pristine again?
> Most definitely.
> But was our experience perfect? Not quite.
> We’d never done a home renovation – so sometimes we didn’t know quite what to ask. For instance, for our new walk-in pantry, we expected that the cost would include the shelving for said pantry. But it wasn’t, and installing shelving cost several thousand dollars more. It would’ve been helpful if this had been spelled out.
> It also would have been helpful to be informed earlier in the process that we’d need new cement around the sides of the new wing, and what those costs would be. This become apparent when we looked at the muddy work areas outside the new wing, and realized new cement had not been mentioned in the scope.
> To be honest, Nate told us at the outset that change orders would probably occur in our house that was originally built in 1936. And sure enough, as demolition began, the scope of work required updates that weren’t obvious to the naked eye, i.e., a wall behind the kitchen sink that needed to be rebuilt due to moisture damage and mildew.
> Also, we probably needed to have been much more forceful when Pristine insisted, over our wishes, on installing wireless, battery-operated doorbells, that only worked sporadically, and could not be heard in certain parts of the house. (After moving in, we paid to have wired doorbells reinstalled, but it would have been much more economical to do this during the framing/rough electrical phases.)
> And, for all the excellence of Pristine’s team, they did not have a low-voltage pro on call, to wire our computers in the old wing of the house to network with the devices in the new wing. Again, we had to bring in outside people for this.
> But, now a year later, the memory of these minor annoyances has faded.
> And when weighed against the speed, efficiency, and craftsmanship that Pristine used to finish our house, we are happy with the results.
> Our advice to other construction newbies like us is to take your time during the design phase, and then again, while drafting the scope of work until ALL your questions, wishes, and issues are addressed. Add 2 to 3 months to the time you think you want construction to begin, and start your conversation with Pristine early. The scope of work is your contract, and they will bring the project in to the penny! Just make sure to ask lots of questions, because anything not in writing will cost you extra in the form of a change order. Tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, landscaping, etc. are all extra, as they would be with any contractor. We probably went through 8 to 10 drafts of the scope, working with Nathan and his staff to get the biggest bang for our bucks. And even then, there were a few surprises.
> They will also ask you to choose your kitchen, bathroom and lighting fixtures, paint colors, flooring, and appliances well in advance so that once they get started, waiting on deliveries does not hang up the construction process or schedule. So it’s a good idea to do as much preparation as possible before the construction start date.
> That said, the service you get from Pristine Construction will amaze you.
> •Nathan guesstimated that construction would take between 5 and 6 months. We were out of the house starting November 1st and back in on March 1st. Demolition and construction took exactly 4 months! And this was during a particularly wet winter. For a project of this size, that’s practically unheard of.
> •There were NEVER any problems with permits, or the many city inspections. These are often big, time-sapping hurdles for less organized contractors, but with Pristine, they went as smooth as glass.
> •Nathan and Mike run their company with an almost military precision. When sub- contractors are scheduled, they show up early, and finish on time.
> •Most of their sub contractors are really good. Particular standouts were Andy, and his team that framed our new construction; and Faustino, their tile man, who is an artist.
> •Nate, Mike and office scheduler Emma were courteous and kept their cool under duress.
> •Besides being personable, Nathan is amazingly punctual! If he says he will meet you at noon, he is knocking on your door at noon. He returns calls and texts on the same day, often in hours or minutes. His manner is easy-going and gentle, but he is all business when it comes to keeping the project moving forward, and completing it on time and on budget.
> How often have you heard that about a contractor?
> Recommended.

> I am sorry it has taken me this long to write my glowing review of Pristine Construction! They completed a kitchen remodel for us in February and we are thrilled with the results. In the past we have had some nightmarish experiences so we were reluctant to take this project on. But after reading all the positive reviews and meeting the team in person we moved ahead and we are so glad we did. From the start, Nathan patiently worked with us to draw up the plans, scope of work, budget and timeline. His expertise and suggestions made all the difference in ensuring we made the most out of the space we have. He met me at the tile store to select the backsplash, he has a good eye for design and style. Once the project got underway Mike was on site overseeing their own personal crew for flawless execution. Mike also lent his expertise in helping me to select final touches like drawer pulls, kitchen faucet and lighting. The crew were courteous and neat. Every day I received emails or phone calls from Emma in the office updating me on what was happening, who was coming and going, when payments were due, etc. I felt completely looped in and reassured at the overall coordination of all the people involved. This is a top notch company. The project was completed on time and on budget. We are thrilled with the results. Even my children's friends remark that it looks like an HGTV remodel! Nathan and Mike are honest, detail oriented and very professional. It was a pleasure to work with them. We would recommend them to anyone and already have!

> Great work and great people. Have used them multiple times. Always showed up on time and cleaned up every day.

> Having worked with several contractors both in NY and LA, we can say that Pristine Construction is by far the best contractor we've ever worked with. My wife and I own a condo and our kitchen needed emergency renovation due to a water leak from a unit above.
>
> Nathan, Mike and Emma were all amazing -- all supremely professional. Nathan went through the scope of work in great detail and listened carefully to what we wanted in the renovation. At each stage of the process, he and Mike told us exactly what they were doing and what next steps would be.
>
> Emma was incredible in that she would text us in the morning almost every day telling us what time the crew would show up or informing us of the next date the crew would be there. One of the most frustrating aspects of working with a contractor is the unreliability of a crew or a lack of communication about when a crew would arrive. Not with Pristine -- they did what they said they would do, on schedule and on budget without exception. And Emma's constant flow of communication kept us in the loop throughout the job.
>
> Mike oversaw the job -- can't say enough good things about him and his work. Any concern we had, Mike took are of. Patient, detail-oriented, highly skilled, Mike handled every detail and every concern we had without fail. He never forgot or overlooked any concern. And his work looks fantastic.
>
> We also appreciated Nathan's strong design sense and experience. He brought great ideas and vision to our relatively small kitchen. We took almost all of his advice, and in the few places we didn't agree, he would always defer to our wishes. Our kitchen looks amazing thanks to him and his entire company.
>
> Our one small reservation was their suggestion to use Kitchen Pros for our cabinets. First, let me say we love the cabinets we got from this company. Quality seems good and the their price was certainly competitive. However, the Kitchen Pro crew and their installation did have to come our a few times to make some adjustments. Again, thanks to Mike and Nathan, they always followed up and made sure all final touches were completed.
>
> In conclusion, these guys are the best -- honestly. We were a small job for them, but they treated us like we were their only job. We can't recommend them enough to anyone looking to do a renovation.
>
> They are the best! If you want beautiful work and the best contractor experience ever, hire them.

**★★★★★ — Stan Blits, Feb. 2017**

> Pristine does it once again! We just finished our FOURTH remodeling project over the past three years with Pristine Construction (should that tell you something?) Co-owner and Foreman Mike headed up this particular project from the beginning right through to the end, and as usual, we couldn't be happier! Both Mike, Nathan and their crew are top notch. Totally stress-free experience . . we just handed over the key to the house and trusted each and every person to take care of our precious home. We're so spoiled now that we wouldn't do any more remodels without Pristine. Why would we go anywhere else? It would be like trading in our favorite lovable reliable Uncle for some unknown crazy relative! I don't think so! Call Pristine . . . You won't be sorry!

**★★★★★ — Colleen Gray, Feb. 2017**

> "It's like walking into a magazine" as stated by two different visitors to our newly remodeled home by Pristine Construction. Nathan and Mike, owners of Pristine Construction abide by the premise that your home is their home, as shown by their work ethics and end results. We had interviewed several contractors but we chose Pristine because of the initial interview that immediately gave us confidence that this company would take care of us in a timely and respectful manner. Due to a plumbing leak in our home, our hands were pushed to finally redo a portion of our home. Our project included a total demolition of our kitchen, down to the studs, addition of a powder room, and an addition to the master bedroom of a master closet and master bathroom. It was a huge project! From the beginning, Nathan and Mike visited the site every day and their sub-contractors showed up on time and cleaned up before leaving. Whenever we needed to contact Nathan or Mike, they always answered their phones. Their Office Manager, Shelley, called us, at least three times a week to check in with us. The personal touch does still exist! Nathan took us to his vendors to pick out plumbing fixtures, appliances, tile and windows, and doors! The vendor's products were top notch but budget friendly. On April 13, 2015, three months to the day of starting, our huge project was complete! We now have a stunning white kitchen anchored by engineered hardwood floors, gleaming glass backsplash, beautiful soapstone countertops, a huge island, and pantry. We have more storage than we know what to do with. The cabinets were personally made by a craftsman who knew how to handle our cove ceiling. The lighting in the kitchen is excellent and the under mount LED cabinet lights add to the ambiance. Our master suite is a peaceful retreat with soft gray walls, a huge walk in closet with craftsman made cabinets and the bathroom, oh the bathroom! The floor is marble, counter tops and backsplash a stunning quartz, flanked by another craftsman made linen cabinet. The frameless shower is exquisite, with Grohe fixtures, glass tiles and a pebble floor meeting the custom built seat. A pocket door now encloses the toilet! The exterior stucco of our house was also redone due to our addition of new, energy efficient windows. Of course, we added many additional items to our original scope of work due to the fact that we saw the incredible work of Pristine Construction. As other reviewers have noted that Nathan and Mike become a part of your family, so it has been for us. We could not recommend Pristine Construction more. We will actually miss seeing them each day. Thank you, Pristine Construction and all of the Sub-Contractors for a job, more than well done!
> After a year and a half of enjoying our first huge renovation with PRISTINE CONSTRUCTION, we realized it was time to beautify our home with their exquisite touch again. This time we focused on our daughter's room, which was just a room. Once again, Nathan came up with an incredible design which made her room into an elegant, hotel like, bedroom suite! French doors to our backyard with an amazing brick step down, double, walk-in closets and a to die for whimsical bathroom.
>
> Demolition, pouring of new extended foundation and framing started promptly on July 5th. Within a week and two days, the framing was done! Incredible! We love Andy's framing due to the devoted workers he sends. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC came next. Nathan spent personal time with us picking out plumbing fixtures, tile, and flooring. What a Godsend he is. Mike was over practically every day checking on the details.
>
> The cabinetry whiz, Yone, specially designed our daughter's desk, bookshelf and bathroom cabinets and even added a special hair dryer plug inside one drawer!
>
> Pristine Construction worked on our project as if it was their own home. Never did we experience one headache, which in this day and time is rare! The incredible patience of Nathan and the detail-orientated kindness of Mike was much appreciated. Emma at the office gave us daily updates on scheduling in such a professional and sweet way.
>
> Our daughter was very much a part of the design of her room and she was speechless when it was finished. Leave it to say, she is the envy of all of her friends!
>
> There is only one more small area of our house that needs to be redone. You can know for sure that it will be PRISTINE CONSTRUCTION!
