**★★★★★ — Lari, May 2025**

> We hired Yulia for a full kitchen and bathroom remodel and couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. She handled everything from design to sourcing to guiding the contractors—and made the whole process feel easy and organized. Both spaces are now modern, functional, and absolutely stunning. Yulia has a great eye for detail, and she managed to stay within our budget without compromising on style. It truly felt like full-service support from start to finish.

**Comment from DomaVita Design:**

> Thank you for trusting with your kitchen and bath project, Lari. I love working on custom designs, me and my entire team enjoyed this project a lot! I hope to work with you again in the future.

**★★★★★ — Anton Avtamonov, May 2025**

> I wasn’t sure what to expect with e-design, but Yulia completely exceeded my expectations! The design package was super clear, easy to follow, and tailored perfectly to my space and style. She really listened to what I wanted, and somehow made it all come together in a way I never could’ve done on my own. It felt like having a designer right there with me—even from a distance!

**Comment from DomaVita Design:**

> Thanks a ton, Anton :) It was a pleasure working with you—hope we run into each other again down the road!

**★★★★★ — Elena, May 2025**

> We got an e-design option. We are very happy with our living room project from Domavita Design. Yulia, the designer, gave us a beautiful e-design, which was then implemented by our contractor, and it now looks so elegant in our home. Everything was well explained with drawings and links, so it was easy for us and our installer to follow. Yulia made the space feel warm and modern. Communication was thorough, and her timely responses were just what we needed. We are very thankful!

**Comment from DomaVita Design:**

> Thank you, Elena, it was my pleasure working with your lovely family on your home. Enjoy your new space!

**★★★★★ — Daria V, May 2025**

> Yulia’s e-design for our living room was spot on—stylish, functional, and full of thoughtful details! One of our favorite features is the built-ins with LED lighting she included in the plan; they completely elevate the space and make it feel custom and cozy. Even though it was all done remotely, the design felt personalized and easy to execute thanks to her clear instructions and product list. We’re so happy with how it turned out!

**Comment from DomaVita Design:**

> Thank you for the feedback, Daria, and the posted pictures! Loved working with you guys, let me know if you need anything else :)

**★★★★★ — Natalia, May 2025**

> We originally hired Yulia for an e-design of our living room, but after seeing how thoughtful and organized she was, we decided to move forward with full-service project management—and we’re so glad we did! Working with her felt incredibly comfortable from the start; she was reliable, communicative, and we trusted her completely. Delegating the process to her took a huge weight off our shoulders, and the end result is a beautiful space that truly reflects our style.
> Highly recommend if you’re looking for both great design and peace of mind!

**Comment from DomaVita Design:**

> Thank you for your trust, Natalia, it means a lot to me! Appreciate the feedback on the project's pictures. Enjoy your space for many more years!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Room layout for teen hangout space** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Transitioning this playroom into a teen hangout space and unsure about the room layout. Does the sofa look odd so far from the TV? It’s currently about 6 inches from the wall. I’m planning on buying an ottoman type coffee table and a much larger TV. I’m hesitant to pull the sofa to the middle of the room because the kids love having the open space to dance etc…

A: So, if the sofa not fully sitting on the rug already, then just slide the rug out completely and put right before the front legs. Don’t be afraid of taking it outside the sofa area, there is no set in stone rule for that. And you don’t have to have it all the way to the TV, meeting another wall (unless you want it so, then you need a larger rug).
Turning the rug by 90degrees is not going to look good because the area by the window will have a large bare spot. And the room itself looks more rectangular shaped to me, at least on this picture, so you need to put the rug in the same way as the room goes (longer side along longer wall), otherwise it may put the whole room off balance.

**Q: What can I do to make this kitchen look more custom?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My kitchen looks builder grade and I want it to look more elevated. I was thinking about changing my hardware to something that may look a little better. Any other suggestions on what I can do without remodeling? Add trim? Light change?

A: You may also consider changing the hood

**Q: What sort of cabinet might work for extra storage in this kitchen?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is the model for the condo we'll be moving into in late spring next year. The kitchen is a huge downsize for us, and I'm trying to figure out if it is even feasible to add just a wee bit of extra cabinet storage space. The above photo is taken from near the powder room door, looking across the island.

Below, is what I worked up using the builder's interactive floorplan. (Disregard the purple-ish extension in the space - I thought it was an option, it isn't.) I'm wanting a single unit cabinet from floor to top of the upper cabinets to use as pantry space.. Would a plain white solid cabinet work? I'm looking for ideas. This will have to be added once we take ownership, as there are no alterations available to the plan.

A: If what you marked in purple is not an option, then I only see these two spaces left.

**Q: Please help with coffee table/ottoman selection with this sofa** *(in Home Decorating)*

Hi, I am looking for a leather ottoman to use as a coffee table that goes with this sofa in a L shape. Sofa is a very dark charcoal but not black cozy fabric. The walls are painted White Dove, floors are the typical orangy oak. I will be using a light rug as well, rug opinions are welcomed as well. Would this ottoman from Pottery Barn work in the tan leather ? I am mostly confused about the best color combination for sofa/run/ottoman. I love the tan letter look but dont know if maybe a light color ottoman in cream would be better for contrast? But then the light colored rug and the ottoman would not have contrast? Confused..............

The house is from the early 2000 so its quite traditional and we are not planning on renovating to modernize it, just trying to make it look nice with what we got. Going for traditional with a touch of modern cozy feel.
thank you so much

A: then I suggest using a rug that reflects same feeling (not a rough and coarse one, like jute or sisal, not bamboo, hemp or seagrass either). If you choose natural materials over synthetic, I would aim for wool or cotton. Those are soft and durable at the same time.

**Q: Candle pillars** *(in Home Decorating)*

Do the big and small candles go on the big or small candle pillar?

A: When it comes to choosing candles for the particular candlesticks, I personally use proportions: candles are 2/3 of the stick' height. Shorter candles on higher sticks look like they are old and used (almost finished), although, some people love this effect. When a candle's height equals the size of the stick, it looks massive and oversized for the stick. Imagine an end table with a table lamp that is same height and diameter as the table. Wouldn't it look oversized for any given room? Ultimately, the diameter of the candlestick needs to be slightly wider than the candle itself to allow burnt was to settle gracefully around the base of the candle. Hope this helps.
