I had no clue what type of style I wanted. I just needed it to be updated/upgraded. I hired Amina's company for the job. We had the consultation which was a process for us to take inventory of the room and talk about what I had in mind. Her open-ended questions allowed me to think but I still didn't know what exactly I wanted. I knew what I didn't want. She had suggestions that helped me get to the point of having her take the lead with my input. Her suggestions were great, even down to the art on the walls. Even looking at them (art) now I am amazed at her vision. I was thoroughly satisfied with the process; the seating arrangement, the small desk that I needed to be in the room for guest who may need to do some work. The colors were pleasing not overpowering; love the placement of the bed and the dresser selection (not too tall, so the room looked spacious). The process was professional, with contract signing which included defined steps, no guessing, very straight forward. I am so happy with the end result. I pass by the room and look in, walk around with smile on my face. Job well done. I’m having trouble envisioning what would look best. All opinions welcome! A: For safety reasons I would definitely put a bath mat in front of your tub and in front of the entrance to your shower. Without them that could be a slip hazard. Other than that, I would not go with a runner. If you don't want the feeling of a cold floor underneath your feet, I would also put bath mats in front of each individual sink and one in front of your toilet. I wouldn't get something that has a pattern because your floor has enough personality as is. I would go with something simple, like something beige. As for the shape, a simple rectangle will do, it matches the geometric lines that are all around your bathroom. Then again, maybe you don't mind the cold floor, and in that case you don't have to buy more than two mats. **Q: Alternative paint color to Accessible Beige** *(in Paint)* I'm struggling to choose a paint color for our kitchen cabinets. This is a refresh, not a new build. My vision is for a light coffee color. We have honey oak floors, warm white quartz with subtle gray veining, and a natural stone backsplash with whites, taupes, grays. The kitchen has no windows, but gets indirect light from adjacent rooms. Accessible beige actually coordinates well with all the fixed elements. But I'm concerned it's been overdone and won't add appeal to future buyers. We expect to sell in the next 3 to 5 years. Any thoughts on different colors? Thanks! A: Id consider testing out these two: I suggest them because your kitchen receives indirect light, so a lighter shade of your preferred neutral will help brighten the room due to it's lack of direct sunlight. Choosing something darker might make the space feel more enclosed and dramatic than intended. I currently have an olive tree and fig tree in the corners of my living room both are in woven baskets. I just recently purchased a pottery barn Olive tree and planter on facebook marketplace for a great deal. I'm wondering if the olive tree would look better than the fig tree. Would my living room look better with two olive trees? If so, should I keep the matching woven baskets or would it look okay with one in a different planter? Or 2 put a tv ( a narrow one ) console and tv on it where the cables are closet (on the wall between the couch and the corner ). The down side of that is that if the person sitting on the couch closet to the wall can not really see the tv well , and neither can the person sitting in the chair in the corner close to the wall. But, if the TV stand and tv was against the wall by the couch, havifn two chairs be noce when we have people over to hang out ( not necessarily to watch tv. Should I put the couch so where different ( like under the window)? But then the two chairs would be on their own on the side near the kitchen table . If I was to get a tv consule ( the tv is not that big , any ideas ? A: This is a setup that you can try out. The proportions are a bit off in this photo but it can give you a general idea. The space seems small so you can only fit so much into it, therefore I suggest only using one of the accent chairs here if you want to keep it a TV viewing/living room area. This is not the exact console i'd use, it's to give a general idea of where to put the tv. You can put the table with the lamp on it on the right side of the sofa for task lighting.
