> D2D has been very creative in their billing: we were charged for the customary "get-to-know" meetings that occurred before we entered into a contract. Other unusual charges included several hours of the principal's time for entering project work-hours into billing software. A funny article (2 minute reading) about the color "greige" that I sent her cost us $78 for reading and sending a one-line response. Her office organization is poor and during our time there were repeated excuses related to "staffing problems". In summary: no, I sure would not recommend D2D to a friend.

> I am so sorry we couldn't continue working together. We provided the detailed-by-line-item hours invoice you requested, since you wanted proof of our earning the retainer. The flat fee agreement you signed at the beginning of the relationship was all inclusive. Since you signed a flat fee agreement, we didn't enter our hours during the project. Once you asked for the detail, we had to - and it took HOURS. Wish you the best in the future.

> I hired Lena to design two bathroom remodels, as well as help with the lighting design of the rest of my house. Our master bathroom was a challenge- it has sloping ceilings and originally the shower was tucked under the short part of the ceiling (not ideal for my 6'6" husband), and was lined up with the toilet and sink, all on the same wall. The master closet is inside the bathroom. Lena was able to move the shower to the tall part of the bathroom and add a water closet and two sinks. The design is beautiful and now our bathroom looks like a fancy hotel and is so much more functional. Our other bathroom, which functions as our kids' and guest bathroom used to open into our daughters' bedroom. I seriously have questions for whoever built our house. Lena's design moved the door to the hallway so now anyone can access it any time. The fixtures and tile she chose really upgraded the space. It was great to just be able to follow Lena's lead and not have to make a thousand decisions on my own.

**Q: Nook Chandelier - Where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Unique.

A: Yes! I was pleased my clients allowed such a unique fixture in the otherwise simple design. It's even prettier in person. The manufacturer is Savoy House - Tartan 4 light20" Wide Chandelier with Mercury Glass Shade.

**Q: I love the dining table. Where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It was custom made from an inexpensive table base and a piece of custom quartz, cut to fit. The families three daughters worked on art projects on the table, so we needed to make sure it was durable, washable and not easily scratched.

A: Thanks for the question! Sorry for the delay in answering, I was out of town. These chairs were custom, manufactured by Hickory Chair with fabric from S. Harris.

**Q: what is this counter made of please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This was a granite remnant, so I'm not positive what it was. I've seen similar slabs called Ambrosia White, Colonial White, Mayfair White and the one I think it's closest to: Tidal White. It has a white background, gray movement and plum colored spots.
