When we met Jeff, we had already received three estimates from other builders, and we had decied on our builder, but hadn't signed a contract. After meeting with Jeff, and reviewing their website, we contacted him for an esitmate. Once we met him to review the final estimate, we knew they were our choice for building our home. The level of detail that was provided in the estimate provided a high level of comfort with the quote he provided. Compared to the quotes provided, Rogers was the 2nd most expensive quote, but with the level of detail, we felt comfortable that we would be able to get the house & quality we wanted while not exceeding the quote. > > Overall, we are very pleased with how our house turned out. The built ins, molding & the trim throughout the home look great. We are very pleased with the fireplace & the built in shelves on each side are beautiful, and we receive many compliments on them. > > With regard to Jimmie & Jeff, they are both very professional & easy to work with during what can be a very stressful time in building a home. Jimmie was on site most every day, and really was the point person with the project as it moved along. We were very pleased with all, but one, of the sub-contractors and would rate their quality of work & service very high. The issue we experienced was with the painters, and the quality of their work was lacking, and left us extremely disappointed. Their subcontractors are carefully selected to bring not only years of experience to the project, but also the best in quality. First impression was good so we talked further. They brought their elite designs to the shows I joked and said they were too expensive for my budget assuming this after admiring their designs, the quality and end products were breath taking. Jeff said give us chance we will give you the same treatment on the budget you present to us. We agreed later on a budget and soon broke ground on our land. Jeff and Jimmie are very knowledgable and professional. The craftsmanship of each of their crew members from start to finish from the time we first met to when they handed us the keys is unlike any of the others we encountered. We interviewed 5 different ones from pricing to actually viewing a on site on each. These guys are not cheapest but not the most expensive but I feel like we were treated as their number one priority but come to find out that's just how they roll. It's a family business for them and they make you feel like family by the time your finished. Thanks to all of their crew including their wives for their advice on color choices for making our dream come true on our farm house design. The quality and results were outstanding! Jeff Rogers has a very creative vision for outdoor space. We enjoy using our outdoor patio very much and receive compliments everyday. The only negative experience we had was with the Viking hottub/spa subcontractor from Knoxville, TN (out-of-town) that Rogers hired. However, even though the hottub/spa subcontractor was not willing to fix the problems, Jeff always found better solutions at his expense and was very prompt in responding to our requests. The quality and beauty of our outdoor space is very remarkable. We built our first and only home, so staying within our budget was important to us. The fact that Jeff provided a detailed, line by line estimate (when no one else did) and efficient billing system was very helpful. Rogers also allowed us to further customize our home during construction - we made several changes, bought materials, even used different subs and they didn't mind. Speaking of sub contractors - they are excellent! - which is one of the reasons why the quality of Rogers Development homes is so great. The excavators, framers, electricians, plumbing, finish carpenters, siding, and concrete were just a few of the crews that did a great job. Out of more than 20 subs that worked on our home, we were only not satisfied with one. Even though it was frustrating, that percentage is good. When we brought up concerns, needed things fixed, or asked stupid questions (we didn't know what we were doing!!) - Jimmie made sure they were addressed and resolved. The quality of their work was evident even before we signed the construction contract. They researched and provided a very detailed cost estimate based on our specific selections whereas other contractors we spoke with provided estimates based on their normal allotments. They were extremely helpful throughout both the design and selection process. Their subcontractors were top quality. Either Jimmie or Jeff Rogers (the owners) were on site daily throughout the entire project to check on the progress.
