## Community Q&A

**Q: Backsplash thoughts.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Just completed a first floor Reno with a new kitchen. 
Everything looks clean and elegant. 
We want to do something that isn't trendy, is beautiful and adds some wow factor, but isn't overwhelming. 
We have a traditional/ transitional style. 

Also, not sure if people tile along window behind and above sink. I'm thinking no. 

Would love some advice!

A: Have you considered sheet mirror? Or back painted glass instead of tile? Both options are extremely easy care.
To simplify installation I'd be inclined to keep the backsplash  material under, and on the sides of window to the bottom of the cabinets.

**Q: Mirror** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm looking for a mirror to go over my inset stove. I found one that I love (photo attached), but the edges come out from the wall, so I'm debating on whether it's suitable. Any advice, would be appreciated.

A: The mirror is beautiful. Im curious as to the color of the back of the mirror? 
If it's black it will have a tendency to "stand" off the wall more visually, which is interesting. If you want it to visually push back then consider painting the back of the mirror the wall color.
