> We used Ryan and Brecka Bagby to build our home on Monkey Island, Grand Lake.  We had some of our own ideas and preferences but also relied on Ryan to help us come up with some changes that were much better than what we had originally planned.  He always listened to our ideas and made them come to life in just the way we pictured. He understands structual elements which was very important to my husband who is an engineer.  He also could visualize the decorative aspects I wanted to imcorporate into the interior design.  We are thrilled with our home and would not hesitate to recommend Ryan and Brecka to anyone who is planning to build or remodel. It was a fun, pleasurable experience!

**Q: How did you drill the correct angle in the stairway rails.?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Do you need a speciall tool to maintain the proper angel for both rails?

A: Yes - we actually lay the stairwell on the stairs to get the correct angle.  Then drill them plumb.  Good luck!

**Q: What was used for the clear coat?** *(in Photo Questions)*

If the metal continues to rust do you think it will eventually start chipping the clear coat off? I love the rust look and wish it could be preserved!

A: On the two jobs that we used rebar - the homeowners wanted the rust look.  However I know that steel wool will do the trick if you want a cleaner look.

**Q: What size rebar was used?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Did you finish is with a clear coat of anything?

A: Good morning.  We spaced them 2 per tread.  However there may be certain code requirements.  We completed a project a few years ago that required them to be no more than 4" apart.

**Q: Wood stain** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me what wood stain was used on ceiling/trim & doors? Looks darker than just polyurethane. Plan to use white pine in our home but love the tone in this house

A: Sorry so late!  It is an Anchor stain in Double Acorn.

What kind of wood is on the ceiling?

A: Pine.  Fun house to build.

Can you tell me the type of wood used for ceiling, floor,trim?

A: You bet - it is hickory as well.  Hickory wears great with kids and pets.  It is a little bit pricier....but worth it.
