Above all, architecture must be functional. Design parameters such as site characteristics, solar orientation, building codes, and construction budgets are necessary elements that give specific shape and form to a final configuration of structure and space. The visual aspects and aesthetic presence of the design must be a natural outcome of the functional problem-solving process. The critical transition from a conceptual design to a physical structure requires constant attention, seamless guidance and frequent physical presence on the construction site.

> Tasos is truly exceptional on every level. A gifted architect for any style who also designs MEP and structural systems. He is a master, and humble, honest and kind. Anyone would be fortunate to know him and work with him.

**★★★★★ — Philip Richter, Sept. 2018**

> Tasos is a very talented architect. He is a man of integrity, honesty, and transparency. He pays attention to the details and suggests great ideas. His designs are pure, functional, and very creative. He is also good at dealing with local town officials to achieve goals. Many zoning boards can be treacherous and he has a masterly of people skills. In short, I recommend Tasos with no reservations whatsoever. Great architect and a great guy!

**★★★★★ — Steven Albert, Aug. 2018**

> We worked with Tasos on designing two homes, one in New York and a second in Vermont. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the experience on both projects. Tasos did not try to design a home that he wanted to live in but took our ideas and used his expertise to give us the homes we wanted. Both homes still are our pride and joy and after 15 and 20 years still come down the driveway with a smile. At our request he was there as well during the construction phase and insured that the homes were build to the standards that he knew would last. I still reach out to him often for help in smaller matters and enthusiastically will be there for a great recommendation whenever needed.

**★★★★★ — Mitch OHara, July 2018**

> Tasos' designs are timeless. We could not have been happier with his support and attention to detail throughout our entire project. I would highly recommend him to anyone who prefers to work with only the best!

**★★★★★ — Jen K, June 2018**

> Tasos is a consummate professional. His expert advice is always spot on, and the breadth of his experience allows the client to make informed decisions. He is happy to share his preferred design options and explain why, but he does not let his ego get in the way of the client's wishes. His confidence in his ability and expertise makes the process feel controlled and smooth the whole way. When meeting with the GC weekly, Tasos always had suggestions to improve the process or solve a small problem along the way, while being courteous and respectful to all the professionals involved. We get frequent compliments on how seamlessly the new part of our 1880s house blends into the old and quirky architecture. We recommend Tasos to anyone seeking an architect without reservation.

> Tasos designed a large lake house for us. Amazing use of site. Great volumes; Gorgeous roof lines. You won't find a better combo of talent , professionalism, and bonhomie.

> Tasos worked with us recently when he designed a beautiful addition to our house. We have nothing but positive things to say about him. No job is too large or too small for Tasos. He is attentive and sensitive to the wishes of his clients. He has an incredible ability to incorporate multiple people's opinions and ideas to create the design that everyone had envisioned. Tasos never missed a weekly meeting to discuss our thoughts and his ideas. His services truly went from the very beginning of design stages straight through to the C of O. He’s an extremely talented and successful architect, yet he exhibited nothing but modesty and respect throughout our entire time together. Towards the end of the project I was unsure of how to design my closet, Tasos spent hours with me discussing different design ideas. We love our home, and have Tasos to thank for it. Remember you are going to be spending a lot of time with the architect you choose, make sure it's someone you'll enjoy working with and someone that has the work ethic and experience to design the home of your dreams. Make sure it's Tasos.

> Tasos is simply the best architect with whom we have ever had the pleasure to work. He's an amazingly responsible and gifted professional who was truly a pleasure to work with throughout our our major gut renovation which we completed in 2014. Not only did he ensure our home was constructed well but he has a vision and an exceptional eye for design as well. He is always available/responsive and always listens to your concerns and idea. Tasos also pays very close attention to the budget and helps you to spend your money where it makes the most sense. We have called him several times since then for advice and he was always happy to provide his opinions and help us . We will definitely use Tasos again in our next project.

**★★★★★ — Sandy and Tony Darin, June 2018**

> We are building a home in South FL on raw land and are a couple of months away from completion. While we have worked with other architects on previous projects, we believe Tasos stands out in the following ways:
>
> •The first thing that drew us to Tasos was his credentials: Not everyone graduates from Cooper Union and works with IM Pei.
> •Good communication is a litmus test for us. From the 1st exchange until the present, Tasos has always responded promptly, if not immediately, to all emails and concerns. We know that Tasos has other projects, some of them much bigger than our own, but he always makes us feel like a priority.
> •The design process has at times been a stumbling block for us before. Happily, we found Tasos to be a prolific designer. The process seems to come very easily for him. Our project was based on a Uruguayan farmhouse that was not like his other completed work. From an inspiration photo off of pinterest, Tasos came up with a design for a modern four bedroom house that fit our needs, while keeping to the spirit of the original. Whenever we disliked one of his drawings, Tasos never took it personally. Instead, he kept giving us options until we were satisfied. It was not his vision but ours he was trying to realize. He was also very good about moving the project along. As Tasos often likes to say, maintaining momentum is critical.
> •The building process was a new challenge for us, as we have never built on raw land before. Tasos was able to guide us through all phases from permitting to construction. (He even does his own wind calculations.) In addition, he proved himself to be an excellent problem-solver on site.
>
> On a personal note, we find Tasos to be patient, even-tempered and pleasant to work with. He gives his opinion without being forceful. And he gets along very well with others from the crew to our local inspectors, who can be particular. In his spare time, Tasos made a model of our house. We are looking forward to it becoming a reality.

**★★★★★ — John McPhee, June 2018**

> The best architect we have worked with. We have completed 3 high end projects with Tasos, each experience better than the one before. Tasos is classically trained, up to date on current products and an absolute pleasure to work with. We hope to continue to work with him for many years to come.

**★★★★★ — John Edelman, June 2018**

> Tasos is an amazing architect. We have completed a number of projects with him starting over 15 years ago and have been 100% satisfied. He has worked not only with my family but with my brother, parents and closest friends. His ability to listen to your needs and put ego aside is unrivaled it his field.
> Tasos is not only immensely talented, he is an exceptional person. His ability to understand your dreams and translate them to realty makes him the only architect we use.

**★★★★★ — HU-10616688128, June 2018**

> We have done several projects with Tasos Kokoris. The most amazing thing about Tasos is that he has his own personal design sensibility, but collaborates with humility and joy in regard to the vision that you have for your home or space. He adds fluid creativity within the perimeters of a project and is always pleasant, punctual, and fun! His integrity stands out as a consummate professional. It is a complete pleasure to work with him and I would recommend him to anyone!
