**Q: Do you know what brand and color of stain was used?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We have a house with same rock and are in need of picking a stain color.

A: PPG pro luxe topcoat not “proplex”

Beautiful loft railing, I'm interested in perusing something similar. Could the type of fastener or nail used also be shared. The installation is very clean.

A: also- we used a clutch head screw to fasten the wood to the posts

**Q: Outside Wall Material** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the outside wall material and who is the manufacture of the windows?   Thank you

A: the windows/doors are from Jeldwen- the siteline ex series. This series has recently been renamed by Jeldwen. They are wood clad aluminum windows. The stucco/concrete finish is a hand troweled "burned" smooth finish done by a local subcontractor. It was a difficult finish-smooth to match finished concrete.

**Q: Is this a plywood ceiling? It looks awesome. Would you share details?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am planning a mid-century modern rehab and have been told that plywood is the period correct material to use on the ceiling. However, yours looks so pristine. Would you share the material you used? Thanks so much.

A: Sure- it's 3/4" Douglas fir plywood
Sealed with two coats of helmsman satin clear natural polyurethane sealer.  We cut a 4 X 8 plywood sheet into thirds (about 16" wide x 8') and installed in a running bond pattern. Make sure to place over a 1/2 plywood (cdx or other inexpensive plywood) so you can finish nail at edges without having to worry about hitting rafters/joists.

A: Yes- natural- however be warned it has an amber color when applied - they have come out with a pure natural color called transparent for doors and Windows - I use it for soffits as well now
