They worked fine and were great until suddenly this year, one section of the sidewalk stopped working. There is a break in one of the wires. There has been no subsequent construction; the sidewalk is perfectly level with no defects, and there was no known damage. I live in Pittsburgh PA and they determined it is a break in the sidewalk. Initially, he said there is a 30-year warranty if installed with drawings and a certified contractor, and then he said that because it is a break, it is not covered. I basically have to rip up my whole sidewalk to fix it, or deal with shovelling again, which defeats the whole process. They also did not have any electricians in my area to address it.
