I wanted the shed to last so I had them build it out of the same materials my house is made of. They poured a 12'x10' slab on my uneven ground and made it square and level. They framed the shed to allow for two windows on the front, a full size door, and two sky lights in the roof. The outside was done in hardy plank so it won't rot and its matches the back of my house. We matched the same 20yr roofing shingles I used on my house. They painted the outside and trim in the colors I selected. They also ran power to the shed, installed 3 lights, and one outlet as per my request. From start to finish is took about a month. Given the total custom nature of the build, I was very happy with the timeline, the construction quality, and the overall finished product. They even had custom burglar bars custom made and installed. If you are looking for any type of custom project, give Ray and his guys at RLM Remodel & Design a try. I think you will be happy with the price, quality, and finished product. A: This particular shed came close to 7 k total , all materials included poured slab and stick build 20 yr shingles , two skylights , electrical plugs on each wall and three 24 inch shop lights. Thanks **Q: deck** *(in Photo Questions)* how do you build a deck on the ground like this A: I started by clearing out the desired area , by removing grass and dirt about 5 inches deep Then I laid out border trim and inside fabric to prevent weeds , also decompose granite. I place 4x4 treated lumber on ground (i did stain first ) then decking on top . Finish off by filling with rock . Flagstone steps was laid over decomposed granite as well. **Q: Help me re-do this half bath** *(in Design Dilemma)* It measures 30" wide by 72" toilet wall to mirror. The floor will not be re-done in the foreseeable future unfortunately. Toilet also isn't going as hubby can't justify replacing a working toilet. We obviously need to lighten it up in there and I'd like to replace sink and cabinet( maybe vanity with granite top, plumbing is a mess to do pedestal as it comes in both sides of current cabinet) yet still have some storage for toilet paper and some cleaning supplies. This half bath is on the main floor of our house just when you walk in from the garage. It's what we use often and what guests will typically only use so I'd like it to look much nicer.
