I have never done a remodel and was very intimidated by the idea of hiring a contractor. From our first meeting, I felt very comfortable with Linzey and knew that he was someone who would listen to what I wanted and make it happen rather than try to talk me into something he wanted to do. He spent many hours researching my project, hiring an engineer, architect, kitchen designer and cabinet maker before ever signing a contract with me. He was very committed to my remodel and to helping me have the best outcome possible. We signed a contract stating my work would be done by a certain date for a specific amount, and despite changes and challenges, he delivered 1 day early and on budget! I truly loved all of his subs and was very comfortable having them in my home. They were always here when they were supposed to be and they were extremely competent. As others have mentioned, Linzey has a great sense of humor, has very high standards for the work that is done, keeps perfect track of all aspects of the job, is a great communicator and is someone who really cares about his clients and their satisfaction. After gutting it down to the bones, he had to rebuild the floor and one wall, reverse a door, all severely out of alignment. He replaced plumbing and wiring, adding all new fixtures, installing a huge shower, new custom made vanity, and cabinets, vintage style medicine cabinet and new floor tile. He even figured out how I could keep the shower window by making it smaller and wrapping it with cultured marble to keep out moisture, something that had always been a problem.Linzey also offered welcome advice on design colors and materials. Linzey is easy to work with, patient, with a sense of humor;he's all about pleasing the client and doing a high quality job.He was well organized and took care of problems, details promptly. All the subcontractors were very polite and competent as well. They made a stressful situation very tolerable. Special kudos to John Hastings for the beautiful cabinetry and Curt Burgin for his meticulous painting. . Except for added time, expense rebuilding wall and floor, the final charges matched Linzey's bid. I am very satisfied with the end result and will enjoy my luxurious bathroom for years. I would definitely recommend Linzey and his crew to anyone needing a talented, responsible and honest contractor. **★★★★★ — rlrosborg, Nov. 2015** > Our master bedroom and bath didn't function well for us with it's unique and dated layout. We hired Linzey for the remodel after reading all the great reviews on Angie's list. In the bedroom, Linzey and his crew removed a couple of extra closets that we didn't need that were taking up a large part of the floor space, making the usable space quite small. After the closets were gone, they took out the lower ceiling where they were located and vaulted it to match the already vaulted ceiling in the rest of the room. They relocated the bedroom door and the door to the walk-in closet and all the windows and sliding door were replaced. In the bath we had an unwanted old tub removed, had the shower enlarged, relocated the toilet and had a new double vanity installed. New tile was placed for both the shower and floor and new lights and fan were installed. The end result was better than I imagined. Everything turned out so well and Linzey and all the guys he works with made the whole experience as pleasant at possible. We have so much more we want to do to our home and we will definitely have Linzey and his crew back to do the work. **★★★★★ — peterain, Nov. 2015** > Once we agreed to the estimate, Linzey provided us with a contract and we began. Linzey always notified us in advance about scheduling and always came when promised. His subcontractors were also on time, charming and professional. He has created a team of reliable and skilled professionals who like their work and seemed to like us! We had a tight timeline and when the flooring person was unavailable, Linzey stepped in and made sure the job was completed. He is particularly good at seeing to details and resolving unique problems which must arise on every job. Each person who came to do a job added to a lovely outcome--from cabinets to countertop, from tiling to electrics. (We missed everyone buzzing in and out so much that we invited everyone and their families for a picnic to celebrate their work!) We lived in the house during the remodel and Linzey was particularly sensitive to making sure we were alerted to what was coming so that we would be prepared.
