Since opening Greer Interior Design, Jennifer Greer Hartmann has collaborated closely with her clients to achieve a unique balance of classically modern interiors. Versatile with many different styles and aspects of both classic and modern design, she strongly believes that interiors should reflect the surrounding architecture and more importantly, the people living in them.

Jennifer has been a designer for twenty years and obtained her degree in Interior Design at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she was influenced by the culturally rich environment of urban living. She focused on learning much about architecture, the arts, and antiques before moving to Chicago to work with the highly respected design team of Gary Lee Partners, where she served as an associate senior designer and project manager in their Residential Studio.

GREER has been commissioned to design many different types of residences: from more formal condominiums, to classic Austin houses and casual lakefront homes. Frequently working with their clients on multiple residences, they enjoy partnering and collaborating with other design professionals and disciplines to meet the needs of various projects. GREER is known for their comprehensive and holistic approach to design, but they also believe that adherence to budget and schedule are as valued as design in measuring a project’s success.

> We have hired Jennifer and her team for two separate residential projects. Our first project in 2010 was mostly handled remotely while we were overseas. To work in these sorts of circumstances requires a team who is trustworthy, honest, detailed and totally transparent. We found this to be exactly the case with Greer Interior Design. Our next project 3 years later was much larger and we hired Greer Interior Design from the start to work with both the architect and builder. Having someone who was looking out for our aesthetic wishes in the design phase meant that we were all in sync from day one. We didn’t count for the added bonus of having someone that was also watching for any unnecessary costs in the design that might leave us short on budget when we wanted to do all the fabulous interiors things at the end. On Jennifer’s advice we removed a design element that was costly and would not have added to our enjoyment of the house. This alone more than paid for her services. Jennifer always looks at a project budget holistically. Any designer can spec high end tiles and fabrics and get a fabulous result but not all can do the same when a budget is tighter. Not only can Greer Interior Design work with varied budgets they are also great at being able to guide a client on where to spend to get a fabulous end result and in what areas you can economize so that no one would notice.
> Greer's personal style is refined and clean but she is experienced enough to marry her own style with every client's individual tastes so that the work is fresh with each new project, even with the same client. Jennifer is a true professional. She has worked hard to establish herself and is proud of her team and the work that they produce. This is apparent in the way they support their clients after a project is completed. If I ever have a concern, from how a blind is sitting to what paint we used where, the team are quick to respond with exactly what I need. I can’t imagine using anyone else in Austin for interiors work.

> Jennifer's deep experience in the design world is a great asset. Jennifer helped my husband and I add a large addition to an existing home and the goal was for the finished project to look seamless.

> Jennifer, Jaime and Christa worked with us on doing some minor renovations and furnishing our new home.  Because we were moving into a house twice as large as our old house, we needed a lot of furniture.  In addition, the new house needed to be scraped, repainted and have some minor remodeling projects done - all within a month, so that we could be moved and settled before the kids started school.  Jaime did a terrific job of staying on top of the contractors to make sure they finished the project more or less on time, allowing us to move in on schedule.  I would not have been able to manage this project on my own, and we are so pleased with all of the results - the house looks great.

A: The fabric is Mark Alexander, but unfortunately it was discontinued.
The wall color is Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige.

A: It was called Luce de Luna, but all of the slabs look different because they are a natural material.
