Jerry immediately, over the phone, clearly understand and was familiar with the distinct parts needed.  He took it upon himself to personally call the manufacturer in confirmation of availability, pricing, and shipping timeline, and relayed this information back to us as promised.  All this while never meeting in person or holding any motivation (for commission etc) over such "small" items! It is so rare these days to communicate with knowledgable and dependable customer-focused professionals.  Jerry is an exception!

But there was one item they had which I could not find elsewhere for our bathroom.  They kept telling me it was one of a kind.  I researched days trying to find it.  We finally bought it, then they told me who made it.  As soon as I had that info, I found it on their website $500+ less than they sold it to me for.  I inquired with them in three separate venues.  No response from two inquiries.  And one  response that said I could return it and start over.  What kind of answer is that??

I was heading to San Diego for a two day training class in March and was hoping to visit a tile shop there since the selection in Juneau is a little limited.  I found International Bath and Tile via Facebook and houzz (because I was interested in Lunada Bay Tile in particular) and they carried it.  I called to check on store hours, and was connected with Lorin Moch, who was kind enough to offer to keep the store open if I arrived late.  Fortunately, my flight arrived on time and I was able to get to the store by 4 pm and Lorin helped me pick out, order and ship, my dream tile, to Alaska.  We are almost finished with the kitchen remodel, I successfully installed the Lunada Bay quilt pattern backsplash myself, and LOVE it, and couldn't be happier with the customer service I received from everyone at the store. Want to make this kitchen look more edgy & designer looking. Wondering whether to paint the walls sage, add b&w pictures, change the blinds (suggestions welcome) & have copper handles & lights? What do you think?

A: For a quick upgrade we would recommend painting the walls, changing the cabinet hardware and perhaps the lighting.  It's difficult for us to recommend a color as we don't know the color tones and style of the rest of your home.

**Q: Need help choosing a backsplash** *(in Design Dilemma)*

HELP!!  Just redid my kitchen and put in Diamond cabinetry Sumner door style in Cherry Chocolate.  I have all stainless appliances and a Glacial White granite counter top.  I can't decide on a back-splash tile.  I love the glass and stainless tile but don't want to compete with the counter top.  Any suggestions??  I do like the subway tile look too.

A: We would suggest you go with a subway tile in glass - perhaps in a parchment color.
