> Lucinda Loya Interiors was the first trade hired for our new-home construction--before the architect or builder. Lucinda's expertise (as a designer, mother and all-around smart, fashion-forward person) was essential to every decision along the way, from the layout of the house to the location of the electric plugs! In terms of interior design, as a client I lean toward practical and comfortable. Lucinda wants everything to be pretty and unique. The end result is the world's coolest, functional house! Example: My dining room table is near the swimming pool, so I wanted it to be able to withstand wet, chlorine-soaked bathing suits. Lucinda covered chrome-based dining chairs with a gold synthetic material, chose a glass top and put the whole thing on an outdoor carpet--it's beautiful and indestructible! Every room in my house is breathtaking, but most of the "wow" elements are in the chandeliers, rugs and finishes, because I don't like "tchotchkes" (but, I've seen other LLI clients who have 30 things on a table--I would go nuts, so she went a different direction for me). Most importantly, Lucinda is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life--she has a heart of gold. If you need a designer, don't hesitate--call Lucinda Loya Interiors.
