> Has ZERO concern about their work. I purchased a never lived in project they built and completed in 2021 and a lot of things were missed during construction. I asked for help locating the trades so I could hire them to fixed what the builder (Oliver Homes) was incompetently able to detect all they way from sealed expansion joints, painted and sealed exposed wood, kinked water lines, and now leaking trim and windows. They won’t answer the phone unless I call from a disguised number. In this market, you have choices. This should never be one of them.

> Rollingwood Slide House
> This was our first new build experience. Oliver Custom Homes took great care in leading us through this seemingly overwhelming process. Their crews were exceptional, extremely knowledgeable and proficient at their craft. We got to know all of the guys well as our job site never sat empty. Progress was being made daily. It was a joy to come to the site and experience the commerodity between crews. We appreciated the positive energy and pride they put into building our home. There was a great feel to the space even before completion. Matt Oliver was the lead on our project. He was fantastic. Matt patiently educated us on each step of the process so we could make informed decisions regarding design and budget. Knowing what to expect and feeling like an intricate part of the process alleviated the stress. It made the process actually fun! Great consideration was taken to build a home that fit our family’s personality and functional needs. We like to think of it as a fun farmhouse with a twist.

> Paul Oliver enlisted our partnership for window coverings at yet another beautiful custom designed/built home. The planning, technical design and building process for the shades took over a year and Paul helped orchestrate selections and recommendations to the client. Their workmanship is always high quality and Paul and his team executed the integration of the window shades beautifully for the client. It’s always a pleasure to work with Oliver Custom Homes.

> I have provided my services for Oliver Custom Homes for many, many years. These folks are true professionals of the highest regard. Many sketchy "contractors" spring up during construction booms and then, they dry up and leave a trail of shoddy work for the unsuspecting customer. The Olivers all have deep roots in Austin and have built top notch homes for decades. They live here, work here and take pride in each project no matter its budget. Be it a pool house or a sprawling lake home, I always witness the exact same attention to detail. It is becoming an increaslingly rarer find as the years go by. As a tradesman, it is important to my welfare to be paid promptly upon the completion of my work. Cash is king. With the Olivers, being paid promptly never crosses my mind....never. In this business, I am accustom to chasing down money so, it is refreshing to not have to ask for or demand payment. I make a habit of calling out the non-payers so, it is a welcome change of pace to write a pleasant review. I am proud to sign my name to every project we complete together. I cannot say that for many companies.

> We have worked with Oliver Custom Homes twice already, first my husbands "dream" shop and now our kitchen renovation. Adam Oliver was the project manager and not only is he professional, reliable and competent but also a wonderful, honest person to work with and greet in the early mornings. He made everything so easy and helped me with price/quality choices. I cannot thank him enough for an excellent job. My kitchen is beautiful!

> We have had many services done with them and really like the quality and timing of the work.
> We also apprecciate the attention given to our needs!
> Great job!

> I hired Oliver Custom Homes to update two bathrooms in my live-in home three years ago. I felt that tHey did a fantastic job then. This is an update to my original observations: Oliver Custom Homes did a wonderful job!
>
> I have had ZERO issues, and the bathrooms look great even 3 years later! The Olivers managed the rebuild w the careful eye of an artisan. The process was not bothersome at all. The crews cleaned up everyday. It was a welcome relief, a bonus in fact, that the Olivers were easy to work with and they were very honest and transparent. They did the job I wanted done, they did it right, and they came in at the agreed budget! I'm a happy customer...Oliver Custom Homes wins all around!

> Choosing a builder for our Hill Country home was not easy for my husband and me. We were new to the area, had no home building experience and would be living over 2,000 miles away during the entire project. We considered other builders but decided on Oliver Custom Homes because of their cost and time-of-completion estimates and the strong recommendations we received from former clients. We were not disappointed.
>
> Our home was built on time and close to the cost that was estimated. The stone work, which we had noticed on other Oliver projects, was exceptionally well done and exceeded our expectations. The house itself is well-built and was unaffected by the wind and rain that damaged many Hill Country homes this year.
>
> We join other former clients in recommending Oliver Custom Homes.

**★★★★★ — Louise Epstein, Sept. 2015**

> Oliver Custom Homes has remodeled three homes for our family. Each experience was fantastic. They are not only good--they listen to their customers and are a joy to work with. Their contractors are special--and they are the same ones, in many cases, that they have used for years. I never get bids. They are fair, transparent, and the right choice--all the time.

> We had Oliver Custom Homes do major renovation on a house prior to sale and also build our new home. The attention to detail and customer service has been excellent and far exceeded expectations. All of the subcontractors have been detailed oriented artisans and have an excellent working relationship with the Olivers. I can't say enough about the quality of work and ease of communication that I've had during these construction projects.

**★★★★★ — cornell2401, Aug. 2014**

> We really enjoyed working with Oliver Custom Homes on the reconstruction of our decks. Oliver's stone workers are very talented and hard working. Julio and the other deck guys are very good as well. The deck looks amazing and I can't tell you how grateful I am to work with nice people. I hear nightmare stories every day about issues people have with their contractors. That is definitely not the case with the Oliver's. We would definitely use Oliver Custom Homes again ourselves and highly recommend them to anyone that wants great service.

**★★★★★ — Barley\|Pfeiffer Architecture, March 2014**

> We have worked with Oliver Custom Homes over the years for several of our projects and would highly recommend them when it comes to building new custom or residential homes. Great work, great guys, great service. They put the clients’ needs first.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What flooring is used in the sunroom?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi there, it's stained concrete.

**Q: Permission to embed photo in blog post** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi! This laundry room design looks awesome and highly functional! I love it so much that I'd like to include it in my blog post if you don't mind. I will make sure to give credits to you and the photo will be embed so it will include a link as well. Thanks!

A: Sure! Please make sure to also credit CL Fry as the photographer. Appreciate you asking!

**Q: What type of gravel was used?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Want to do something similar in my backyard but not sure what sort of gravel to use t

A: Hi there, this is just compacted decomposed granite (sometimes referred to as DG). Hope that helps!

**Q: What kind of washer and dryer?** *(in Photo Questions)*

They look to be smaller than the new front loaders but not tiny.

A: I don't recall the exact make & model, but they are standard size front loaders. It's just the angle of the photo that makes them look smaller.

**Q: What kind of stone is on the fireplace?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did they get the area rug?

A: Hi there. The fireplace stone is locally quarried limestone. I do not have a source for the rug, unfortunately.

**Q: concrete color question** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, I’m curious if you used the same concrete color inside as you did on the patio, but just didn’t have it diamond polished?

A: The exterior concrete was stained to match the pool coping. And no, no diamond polish outside.
