The Fabricsmith, LLC is owned and operated by Karen Ballard, a resident of Greenville and Spartanburg since 1971. Karen's joy of sewing all started in the 6th grade home ec. class when she won the "Thread the sewing machine the fastest" competition.
 
The Fabricsmith is a custom workroom for home interiors with work in the Upstate and Lowcountry of SC. From fine details in window treatments to comfortable bedding, shower curtains, and even upholstered walls. The Fabricsmith motto is "Think Outside the Box."
 
The workroom team has over 40 years combined sewing experience.
 
The personal service offered includes measuring and installation. In addition, all of your needs for pillow inserts, linings, embellishments, drapery hardware, blinds and woven, honeycomb or roller shades can be provided.
 
Karen and the team work closely with designers or the individual to make the design dream come true. We look forward to hearing from you!

I met with her at her workroom and she was extremely helpful in helping me pick out and coordinate fabric selections.  She got to work on the project and did keep me posted on progress along the way.  I was really excited for the "big day" when she and her partner came to install everything.  All I did was walk in the room and it was all done!  Suffice it to say that I was just thrilled at how beautiful everything turned out. We cut them into six sections for the top and added a neutral tan linen for the bottom with a textured flat welt to break up the seam. We also provided the bronze finish solid brass hardware. interested in making a burlap cornice possibly with ribbon or cording

What color are the walls

A: Silver Blue by Banjamin Moore, but the client took the color to Lowes and used a Valspar paint.  Don't know if that changes the hue of the paint since it isn't BM.

Where can I buy this comforter & are there curtains to match?

A: The blue and yellow stripe duvet is an older Tommy Hilfiger collection.  The white coverlet and shams are a discontinued Peacock Alley.  The panels are a 10 oz white cotton with blackout lining and inverted pleats.  We can make them for you based on your measurements.
