> I’d choose a zero star if there was an option! We booked a pre-con with this builder and the entire experience from decor till after closing the house has been nothing but a nightmare! First, they messed up our chimney vent hole position due to which our originally purchased hood couldn’t be installed. We lived in the house for 2 months without a hood and stove as building refused to rectify their mistake despite of us purchasing the appliances from their partners who refused to take the hood return. So we were stuck with a $3500 hood fan and had to purchase another one now that could fit in the incorrect vent provided by builder. When asked for help they just straight out refused and blamed it on us for purchasing the wrong hood fan, despite of us providing them the specs of the hood fan before the house was roughed in! When I showed proofs of how it was their fault they came up with “oh we thought this hood fan would fit”! Next, there were multiple defects in house that either didn’t get rectified or they just kept delaying it. When the backyard was starting to being levelled, I showed them how big of a slope was in our backyard and a couple spots where it wasn’t levelled and that it would always leave puddles in my backyard. Their response “oh the city already inspected it so it stays that way”! There aren’t enough characters allowed here to type what an absolute nightmare it has been dealing with Fieldgate. I’m in middle of suing them so all I can say to anyone reading this is, when you see a project is being done by Fieldgate just run as far as you can from it!
