> My experience in using Outland Hill Country to build my new custom home was superb!  I was referred to them by several other builders who were booked up with jobs at the time. The fact that these quality builders recommended Outland Hill Country without reservation caught my interest. Luckily for me, Outland was just finishing up a large project when I contacted them.  In the planning phase, I found both Josh and Conan to be good listeners to what I wanted, flexible in accommodating changes, and good communicators during the building process, keeping me informed of the progress, costs, and any possible problems.  I was further impressed that they would take the initiative and redo work that didn't meet their high standards before I even discovered it myself.  And these redoes weren't of really poor craftsmanship, but of slights the average person would never even notice.  This attention to the most minor details and always choosing to use quality materials reassured me that the house was being built to last.  I was grateful for the transparency Outland gave me throughout the build by having access to the app they used to schedule, log progress, compile costs, and access every invoice on the project.  If you are looking for a builder you can trust in, you would be hard pressed to find a more customer oriented and skilled builder than the Outland Hill Country team.

> We started building a house in the Hill Country in late 2018 at our  property, 45 miles West of Kerrville. This was very challenging because it was a remote location, we live in Houston and could not monitor construction. Our original builder quit in the Summer of 2019. This caused a lot of stress and we really did not know what we were going to do. We turned to Outland Hill Country LLC to see if they would take on the remaining construction  - the house had been "framed" and partially dried in. After meeting with Josh and Conan they agreed to take over construction with the understanding that they would need to correct all the improper framing and other construction to date before going further. It did not take long for us to realize that Josh and Conan do not settle for anything less than perfection when it comes to construction. Josh and/or Conan were involved on a daily basis on the home construction with every sub they brought to the jobsite, which were all very high quality craftsmen. They  worked with us on every detail to make sure the house was built and finished exactly the way we wanted. We moved into the home in the Fall of 2020 and we could not be happier. Thanks to Josh and Conan we have a gorgeous solid home that will last for generations to come. Josh and Conan have provided excellent and timely warranty service and have taken on other projects for us as we continue to develop the property. Looking back we realize how blessed we were to have crossed paths with Josh and Conan and that Outland Hill Country came to the rescue in a major way. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Outland Hill Country - Josh and Conan -  for home construction or remodeling projects!!

> In our experience, Josh and Conan were true professionals in building our ranch house outside of Kerrville.  They took over the job after the slab was poured and finished a challenging 5,000 square foot home that was designed by an architect.  They meticulously followed the plans, rather than substituting their own opinion as many contractors attempt to take shortcuts. When they encountered issues with the plans, they thoughtfully adapted the construction to the field realities.  In our experience, both Josh and Conan are builders and craftsmen—not simply schedulers.  In our experience, they demonstrated an eye for beauty and knew how to create a beautiful home, demonstrated real talent and caring.   In all of our dealings, they were honest and hardworking and fulfilled their promises.  If they made a mistake, which was rare, they fixed it on their nickel.  Since the completion, their warranty work has been solid and consistent. We would build with them again.

What type of stain/color used on walls?

A: Thanks for taking interest! The walls are a prefinished wood siding product called Ghost Wood. The color is Silver City.

What stain and color was used?

A: Hi Kelly! For the floors, a black acid stain was diluted to make this color. I believe it was diluted about 50%.
