The most important step you can take before you next project is to have a plan in place. A well thought out, individualized plan will save you time, money and possibly lifelong regrets on mistakes. Now is the time for us to sort through and figure out what will actually work for you in your home as well as fit your lifestyle. Too many ideas can lead to chaos and too few to poor design and function. A napkin sketch can get the ball rolling, but it doesn’t convey the whole story to you or the tradespeople who will be building and making everything. Here is where I step in. First know that we will collaborate to create the best outcome for you. I will listen to your wants, needs and ideas to form a cohesive plan that includes the best design solutions. In the planning phase I can show you the space in a 3D model. Then I turn that into construction documents, elevations and electrical plans and turn it over to your contractor to execute. Should you need additional help, I can be there from concept to completion or as needed. Typical activities include helping select and coordinate the finishes, fixtures, furnishings etc.. down to the small details. You can source things yourself, or I can help you source products through your preferred vendor. I do have access to products as well from drapes, bedding, home décor, accent furniture etc... Since I am an independent designer we can shop anywhere you prefer and your not obligated to purchase items through me. As long as my time and expertise is compensated we can shop locally, take a trip to New Orleans or buy online. A little more about me: I have an interior design degree from USM and I have been working in the design and home construction/ remodeling field since 1997. Should you have a piece of furniture that needs repurposing I can repair and faux finish anything. I am a member of the Hub City Players. Some recent shows I have performed in include; Sister Act, Rock of Ages and Woodstock 50th Anniversary Show. I also sing in my church praise band and love karaoke night with friends. I am also a big sucker for a furry face…I love pets, I have a dog and 4 cats.
