No estimate given over the phone and the person who came out said it would take 2-3 hours to do the job. Flat rate on two items, both of which were very expensive. I foolishly agreed. He ended up being there for 45 minutes from the time he arrived to the time I was called that he was done and the charge was $600. Outrageous. I attempted 3 times to call the service manager to discuss the charge before I paid, and nobody would call back. I told the person who did the job that it was a ridiculous price, $600 for less than an hour of work. He said if you don't pay me, I'll call the police. Stay as far away from this company as you can. The people seem nice, but the company's operating basis with customers stinks and their charges are outrageous. He looked over the unit, assessed the situation, and gave us the options in a professional manner. He walked us through patiently the paper work, and we signed on the dotted line. I highly recommend Thomas Salvato, who I feel is a respectable, knowledgeable, and confident plumber. The work he performed was clean, neat, and excellent quality. In addition, even though a prior contractor had fixed a wiggly flange, the toilet was still wiggling a little. Leslie came and removed the toilet. He said the contractor should have added an extension flange because with the new travertine floor, the toilet didn't set the wax ring properly. When reinstalling the toilet, Leslie also noticed that the travertine floor was not sufficiently even, so he added a pressurized wood wedge to keep the toilet level. Lastly, he added grout around the toilet to make sure it will not wiggle in the future. Leslie was timely, did a great job and is professional.
