> The work had serious quality issues.
>
> When work was being quoted the owner was very personable. When additional work was on the line? We received assurances quality issues would be resolved. When there was no more work to come? The owner became aggressive and stopped listening to our concerns. Subsequent written communications details remaining quality issues? Unaddressed. The extra sting? He also added approximately 10% to our bill without prior consultation — despite us being home and available.

> Two examples:
>
> 1\. Horizontal fence — no middle support as expected. The owner independently chose to build the fence without a middle support rail. Board warping followed. The initial fix was to replace select boards; when more boards warped, we requested the missing support be added. It was recently installed, but with screws too short to hold — several have already failed after two days. Severely warped boards were also left uncorrected. There has been no response or offer to address this.
>
> 2\. Hot tub concrete pad — poor workmanship. The pad was poured without care: one end came out four inches further than the other, failing to align with the garage. Cement was also dropped across our stone patio — a protective sheet would have prevented this. This was corrected, but given recent interactions, likely only because additional work was still pending at the time.
>
> I could go on but I'm really just disappointed I was didn't see the warning signs.
