> Chris helped with turning a basement into a bedroom by installing wall, door, & closet. Overall he accommodated all my needs and gave very thoughtful suggestions I did not originally think about. Job completion was done in detailed manner you won’t see many other contractors provide. I highly recommend hiring him for all sorts of jobs and he will come up with detailed and creative ways to solve the issues/additions you might want to add for your home.

> We had a serious leak at the juncture of an outside brick wall and a flat rubber roof that 2 other contractors - and thousands of dollars - didn't fix. Chris Chan-Tse was the first contractor to explain why we had the leak and more importantly, how he was going to fix it. Chris and Riley took great care in our house by covering floors and putting up plastic barriers around all the work areas and always wore masks in the house. Chris was great at communicating the timing of the project. We will never use another contractor.

**Comment from Gold Beech Construction:**

> Thank you for your review! It was a pleasure working with you and we are so happy that we were able to address the issues!

**★★★★★ — Katie, Dec. 2020**

> We had a great experience working with Chris on our upstairs remodel. We had a tight schedule with a baby on the way and really appreciated Chris working with us to get our project started quickly and keep things moving as quickly as possible during Covid. Chris is a great communicator, very organized and always available by text, email or phone for questions and updates. When there were minor issues during the project, Chris always let us know immediately and quickly came to a resolution - no surprises for us at the end of the project and he really went above and beyond to make sure everything was completely taken care of. Although our budget ran over (as they do!), Chris was always upfront about extra costs / work and really worked with us to manage the budget and scope. We're happy with the finished space and the quality of the work and would happily work with Chris again!

**Comment from Gold Beech Construction:**

> Thank you for the review, Katie! It was a pleasure working with you both and I hope you enjoy your new living space!

> We hired Chris and Gold Beech to install heated floors and update two bathrooms with new tile floor and new bathroom cabinetry. Initially, we were just thinking how great it would be to have warm floors in the winter, but after the job started Chris quickly diagnosed the cause of several issues that had been plaguing our house and the job turned into both bathroom remodeling and a construction remediation and repair jobs. At the job’s completion, we could not be more happy we decided to do this (initially) indulgent project and had picked Chris and Gold Beech to do the work! Besides doing a spotless job, with an eye to perfection, always on time, willing to work with our scheduling, Chris diagnosed two critical problems with our bathrooms; he explained to us what we needed, how he would fix it, and he quickly purchased and installed all the materials, with the highest level of professionalism and knowledgeable advice. Chris traced an old water damage issue, cleaned all affected wood and replaced the subfloor before starting the remodeling job. With all of this extra work, Chris kept us informed and showed us everything he was discovering, adjusted the time lines of the job professionally and kept all extra work reasonably priced. We should also add, that this work was done during the pandemic and was truly invasive, having work being done on our first and third floors. During the job, Chris put in a huge effort to seal off the work areas, minimize any travel through our home and was conscientious about using air filtration and masks for himself and his expert help. In the end, the bathrooms came out wonderfully. Chris coordinated work with our cabinet supplier, expert tile installers, electrician and plumber and we never had a problem throughout this renovation that ended up being far more complicated and essential for the health of our home than we had anticipated.
> We are so grateful Chris, that you created two beautifully renovated bathrooms and completely eliminated multiple destructive problems! We highly recommend Chris and Gold Beech Construction for any construction project!
> As an additional comment, we are very impressed and extremely grateful about the way Chris designed his work flow through our house during the COVID shut-down. It’s yet another example of his thoughtfulness and consideration of his clients, and his coworkers.

**Comment from Gold Beech Construction:**

> Thank you so much, Mark! Im glad we were able to remedy the two problems we came across. It was a pleasure working with you both!

> Chris and Gold Beech get my highest recommendation. Chris' attention to detail, precision and clear communication set him apart. He has a great work ethic and a range of skills (including, but not limited to, carpentry), and a skilled team of trades who work with him. I've found him to be consistently upfront and honorable in business dealings. He also takes an intelligent and complete approach to pre-planning while still being willing and able to call audibles when contingencies arise. Couple all that with his commitment to cleanliness and organization and he is a top-level guy.

**Comment from Gold Beech Construction:**

> Thank you so much, Brad! It was a pleasure working with you and your family!

**★★★★★ — Jonathan Raymond, Nov. 2019**

> Working with Chris and Gold Beech on several projects has been a wonderful experience. He brings a creative and solution oriented passion to his craft. He is responsive, punctual, neat (he puts on shoe covers without even being asked), always pleasant, and prices the job fairly. No job is too small for this skilled young professional.
> At a time when craftsmen are either unreliable, messy, don’t return calls/emails, or not interested in wiring a chandelier, building a wall unit, or changing weatherstripping - thank goodness for Gold Beech Construction! Thank you Chris.

**Comment from Gold Beech Construction:**

> Thank you for the kind words Jonathan! It was a pleasure working with you!

> Chris represents the highest quality of work! Chris helped me fix up my newly purchased condo with a repainting of my ceiling, replacement of kitchen sink and many other laborious tasks. His knowledge, professionalism, respectful manner, attention-to-detail, and follow-up customer service is what I appreciate about him the most. He is honest with his work and provides you different options on products and brands that looks best for your home, also in consideration of your budget. More than likely, I will use his services again and I recommend him highly to all my family and friends.

**★★★★★ — HU-69109589, Sept. 2019**

> I hired Chris to hardwire an internet connection from our basement up 2 floors into a bedroom. Chris was great at communicating with us before coming over. Once he arrived he was very friendly and talked to us about different options we had for how the job could be completed and offered his honest opinion. He was able to complete the install quickly and we have had no problems since.

**★★★★★ — Linda Malsbury, Sept. 2019**

> Gold Beech was hired to undertake a project replacing water-damaged wood on a garage. Chris provided a clear estimate of the job, to include the scope of work, with estimated time and cost. He arrived at the site on time (early, in fact) and performed with utmost professionalism. When he uncovered unexpected carpenter ant activity, he addressed the full extent of the damage replacing all the effected wood, as well as interfacing with the exterminator. At the completion of the project, he left the site in immaculate condition! His work was thorough and precise, using superior materials. His equipment (and his assistant) were top-notch! He is available, responsive and provides detailed documentation. It's rare to come across a small business with the level of pride, respect and professionalism he presents. I would hire him again in a heartbeat! I recommend Gold Beech and Chris without reservation.

**Comment from Gold Beech Construction:**

> Thank you for the review Linda! It was fantastic working with you!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where is the tile from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the tile, where can I purchase it!

A: We absolutely love the tile as well! The tile is polished Gris Allure from the Jewels series by Mirage and was purchased through a local distributor. Unfortunately, the tile has since been discontinued so you will most likely have a hard time finding it.
