We covered the deck with an indoor/outdoor plywood but would like a more finished look. Any suggestions? We live in MN and experience extreme temps in both summer and winter. A: I used a pine floor - this is in Vermont. It is sealed - you need to ask the flooring company that you will be using. If you are afraid to use wood there are wonderful stone flooring options. **Q: What is the flooring? Is it pine? Pine is apparently a softer wood, but, holds up very well and regarding the scratching - all wood floors have to be sealed correctly - different applications will have show less or more scratching .
