The wood adds a very warm touch.** *(in Photo Questions)* What type of wood and is it stained? what color? A: Thanks for your question! I really wanted to combine the stark stucco surface with the warmer wood insert, worked out I think. The wood is a clear cedar which we treated with a wood conditioner and a clear matt sealer. No color was added. You should take a look at our later coop at the Peacock House project also on Houzz. It has more features like an automatic door and feeder that makes life much easier. Yes, this is a concrete micro-topping. It is finished with a high quality commercial sealer and cleaned with water only. It is very durable but I would not recommend it for families with small children who might drag toys or otherwise put too much stress on the floors. Best for soft shoes and socks. **Q: what is the brand of stain and colors used?** *(in Photo Questions)* what stain was used on the floor and where was it purchased? A: Hello, The floors are a micro-topping of concrete, essentially a very thin concrete finish over the existing concrete slab. It was done by a local contractor using a custom color which we developed on site. Very durable and washable. Thanks for the question. **Q: Were these new pine boards that were stained this color brand & color?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hello, Most of the interior wood was recycled from the existing house, mostly Dade County Pine, a local wood that has become nearly extinct.
