Abe and his crew are excellent craftsmen and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They showed up on time, kept the work area clean and orderly and when the work day was done, they left the job-site better than when they showed up in the morning. Abe did a variety of tasks on this project. He and his crew installed new hardwood floors throughout the house, new tile floors in several of the rooms, hung new doors throughout this five bedroom house, performed extensive electrical work and worked with the general contractor to install all new appliances in the kitchen. > At times the job was made more difficult because other trades were working in the house, such as painters and plumbing contractors. Yet, Abe and his crew remained flexible and worked easily with the other trades to coordinate so they could effectively complete the job. > The job was completed within budget and on time. The few delays that occurred were caused by suppliers not having materials available immediately and taking an extra day or two to supply tile or in one case a very esoteric lighting fixture that had never been used for this application before and had to be special ordered. > I would recommend Flatline Construction without reservation. The quality of their workmanship is excellent. We were extremely satisfied with both of our home improvements. > Our first project was a first floor remodel, which included a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and living room. Early on in the project, Abe Hernandez, owner communicated several different options we could take. Once we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted he presented us with a detailed bid, description, and time frame. Once the work was started he was very conscious of taping up plastic to secure the area in which they were working. Everyday everything was neatly cleaned up, always trying to be accommodating as possible. He always let us know what they would be working on the following day. He gave us plenty of notice when something needed to be ordered to make sure of its timely arrival. Occasionally they would would be gone for a couple of days, in which case he would let us know. But it would be a nice break in the construction. At one point we had different vision of the fireplace. He immediately picked up on my concern and stopped the work. It took a few attempts, but we wound up with something better than I pictured. He made suggestions along the way and explained the reasons. So sometimes we added along the way, and in other situations we would eliminate. > Our second project was much smaller, but the finished project just as amazing. It was a guest bathroom remodel, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. His attention to every detail is incredible, along with his professionalism and his ability to communicate with us. > In both projects he was pretty much right on with the bid and timeline. He was able to do some add-ons. Both projects went extremely smooth with very few changes in our daily life. A: They are 12x24 torreon vein cut travertine from Arizona Tile **Q: need help to design front of fireplace in new house** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am in the process of designing the front of my fire place. I looked into rock veneer but if you must cut any of the rock it has no color. I thought about using tile natural stone or slate. The fire place will have a mantel which extends outward from the bottom of the recessed tv area. Their will be legs six inches wide going down to the tile floor. This is my first time with fireplaces. A: I do agree with the other and highly recommend to incase the whole wall with the stone. If you find a stone that you like you can cut the stone at a 45 degree and miter the edge to achieve the look ware a cut is.
