Originally the rooms were to be crawl space or 3-season porch, but in the process of planning, we changed to full basement. The entryway was originally going to be only across part of the front, but (again) we changed to full front of home during the planning process. Ryan was extremely patient with my husband (a major DIY guy) and it was hard for my husband to keep his nose out of everything the workers were doing, but Ryan tolerated all the questions. We did spend a little more than planned, but then again we had made some changes, and I do feel, Ryan was perfectly willing to complete as planned, within budget--there was absolutely zero pressure to "upgrade". > > Throughout the project, Ryan was easy to communicate with, and we never had the feeling that we were just another pesky customer. This project completely changed this 1970's 2 story. The original design did not accommodate our Minnesota climate. Entry into this home was either into the existing kitchen / dining or into the front entry, (3x3). We extended the front entry to create a larger entry, the garage entrance enters into a new room behind the garage and the lower level also has a mudroom. Whether you are bringing produce in from the garden, entering from your car or welcoming guests into the home, there is now room to spare. I.e., there will be a bar window and a sink with a small bar fridge (possibly undercounter fridge or small standalone) in the area. The sink drain can't be moved, so the sink needs to be in the corner depicted in the drawing. Outside of that, I'd like to have \- some cabinets for cups/glasses for the bar area. \- I will be popping a TV out of the side of the cabana, so will need to also have some upper shelves to hold say a SONOS, cable box, possibly a small receiver \- some storage space for noodles, other misc pool toys At a bit of a loss of how to design the space given the narrow 5' interior. Any thoughts on how I can bet utilize the space? Was going to have a look at some standard IKEA stuff as well to see what would fit. Thx! A: When space or footage is adequate or even more than adequate, design standards can dictate layout. CPARTIST this is likely your experience. When things are tight a thoughtful design with actual minimums is often reverted to. Anthonys design and thoughts are true. We also often go pretty tight with cabinets on a single wall on a dead end space. Usually in a bar or kitchenette. **Q: I love the white glass front door!
