The project included draperies, hobbled and Roman shades for ten rooms. I found Yana's work to be meticulous, creative and beautifully made. She always made suggestions to accommodate the budget. An example of her creativity was in designing a covering for the exterior glass door to the pool bath. The theme was oriental and she came up with a beautiful, simple shade with tassels and cross bar (she even painted the wooden bar!) that fit the room décor to a tee and made the shade look like a wall hanging. She was efficient when hanging the drapes and steamed each panel so that they looked perfect. She left a clean area when finished. I was more than satisfied with her work. In addition, she is a complete delight to work with: pleasant, easygoing, creative, knowledgeable, efficient, trustworthy and very intelligent. I did research before I hired her and she was by far the best in terms of professional quality and value. A: Hello, thank you for your question. It's very hard to determine what you can do for your window treatments based on the info you provided. Perhaps you can send me a picture of your space so I can give you a better idea of what you can do with your drapes when it comes to pulling all the colors. You may want to accent on a certain color or contrast on the other, otherwise it would be difficult to combine so many colors together unless it's a print fabric. The panel is pleated and attached with fabric ties to the post of a 5.5" Decorative Medallion, which can be purchased from Unique Wholesale Distributors, to the trade only. The Decora Medallion Collection, Item \#1865B/24, retail price for a 5.5" medallion with a 3.5" post is $40.00 each. If you are interested in purchasing it, I'll be glad to sell and ship it to you. If you'd like, I can make it for you or you can contact your local custom window treatments workroom and see if they're able to fabricate this for you. **Q: Drapes** *(in Photo Questions)* I have this window, like the holdbacks/knobs, can you explain how the drapes are made and how they are attached at the too? Thanks in advance! Beautiful treatments! A: Drapes are tied to the 4.5" medallions with fabric ties. This is a two-tone treatment made from gold / ivory duppioni silk, interlined and lined. The gold portion of the drapes embellished with 8" bullion fringe on the top and the leading edge. The Ivory portion has a 2" decorative band on its leading edge to match the bullion fringe. Both portions are attached to each other at the leading edge of the gold fabric ( ivory section is tucked into the side hem of a gold section and then pressed against it, it creates a false effect of a double layered treatment). The pattern on the top is cut out according to the shape of the window and a position of the medallions. Pleat is usually 8" and the space is double or more of the measurement between your medallions ( depends on how much you want it to droop ). The pattern image attached below.
