Thanks A: it's a JF Fabrics wallpaper and you can get it through a designer. I like the quality of their papers and highly recommend it. **Q: living room** *(in Design Dilemma)* our living room is open to our dining room and kitchen. We are planning on putting wood panelling on one wall in the livingroom (the TV wall beside the fireplace and across from the kitchen) I am going to have a larger black metal frame made for the fireplace to increase the width of the black. We have a black piano and are going to purchase cream and or grey sofas and chairs. My questions are: Fireplace: Will it be too much to decorate the fireplace and the wall beside it? Would medium grey on the fireplace be too dark with the rest of the room? ( If we use grey quartz in the kitchen as countertops will it look alright to use it on the fireplace? (as in drawing) and paint the other three sides of the fireplace to match? or would it look best to skim coat it with concrete or venetian plaster all the way around instead of the quartz or granite? A: It depends on what your plans are for the rest of the walls and on the paper. Mid or light for sure. I'm not sure about the stone papers. Rather get an interesting textured wallpaper then pretend it's something it isn't. Plastering is a nice option too. If you go that way, make sure you have a good craftsman. **Q: Outdated kitchen needs a quick fix!** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are selling our home in the next few months. We have totally renovated both bathrooms and updated everything else….except the KITCHEN. The backsplash & countertops are new but the cabinets are outdated (we put oil-rubbed hardware on but thats it). The worst part is this wavy wood piece over the sink window. Without eliminating something there all together what could we replace it with??? A: I would paint the cabinets an off white (Benjamin Moore's Cloud White is a safe bet), to go with your appliances. If you really don't want to get rid of the cubby shelves, keep them(painted) and replace the wavy valance with a shelf. It won't block the light, like the valance does. Keep the oil rubbed bronze hardware since it looks good with your new counter tops and think of introducing similar toned accessories. It's a classic scheme that will make your kitchen feel fresh.
