We purchased our appliances a few months ago: a fridge, stove, microwave, bar fridge, and dishwasher. Mario, a gentleman of expert knowledge, helped us with our purchases, ensuring that we had the proper appliances for our needs. Caplan’s have an extensive range from high-end to more economically priced appliances, and we were able to find everything we needed, with no pressure. We are excited to learn how to use our Sub-Zero stove in the separate cooking building, where Deborah, a trained chef, will demonstrate the workings of the appliance. We also met Mrs. Caplan, a lovely lady, and the manager. The manager, Steve, gave us his card and encouraged us to contact him, should we have any questions or concerns. > > Our appliances were delivered by Caplan’s, again, excellent service. There was a problem with the installation, however, in that the installer miscalculated the distance of the counter. When he pushed the bar fridge in, he chipped the lower panel of the counter. I was distraught. We hadn't even moved back into our brand-new kitchen yet, and the installer sloughed off my agitation, claiming the panel could be fixed. He didn't offer to fix it himself, though, nor did he offer to help pay for a new panel. The installer did not work for Caplan’s, directly, although they had recommended him. So, I didn't think it was Caplan’s responsibility, but I told Mario so he wouldn't recommend him again. > > I received a phone call from Mario and Greg, the sales manager. They requested pictures of the damage which I then sent. They apologized profusely, thanked me for my patience, and told me to order a new panel. They would cover the cost, whatever it was, entirely. They also paid for the installation of the panel - this was $508.00, that cut into their profits.
