> Save yourself some time and hire someone else!!! We hired Brian to build our custom home. He took a draw from our construction loan and used it on other projects. He is still holding over $22,000.00. The lumber yard is about to place a lein on our property. We have been paying our contractors for months on our own. He sent our excavator an NSF check. He hasn't found one contractor for us. He said he doesn't know how to figure out a material list for subs. He forgot to order a door, mismeasured our fireplace, our trusses came incorrectly due to a wrong measurement. My list goes on forever. He has cost us thousands of dollars and even more time. Our foundation is cracked and shifting. We are on hold until it is repaired because it can't hold anymore weight.

> Do NOT use Brian Bart! Terrible management of his business. Timeline was pushed way back and lots of items that we wanted like flooring and tile couldn't come in time because he ordered too late. After we were rushed through a final walkthrough we never heard from him again. So his contract is worthless and your punch list and 11 month list will never get done. So disappointed. Wish we had gone with literally anyone else.

> We were expecting the stress and inconvenience that building a new home could bring in our family’s life, but Bart Homes created a seamless experience. We would highly recommend Bart Homes and would gladly undertake building a home again with them.
> We purchased an empty lot in Plainfield’s White Ash Farm subdivision in April 2014 and eventually built the “Aspen” craftsman ranch style home with Bart Homes starting in November 2014 and moved in March 2015.
> We decided to include the expanded floor plan including the extra ½ bathroom for a total square footage of approximately 2,250. The main level includes 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms, large laundry room, open concept kitchen and living room. Our master plan also included Brian’s team to finish the basement during construction, so we incorporated high tensile steel beams to avoid any unsightly posts. The outcome of the finished basement is incredible as it mirrors the main level with 9’ ceilings. The basement includes 2 additional bedrooms, an extra-large entertainment room, an office, full bathroom, and kitchenette. Every bedroom has a walk-in closet and the 3 car garage is very spacious.
> Brian and his team were a pleasure to work with through the entire building process. We met with the team on multiple occasions to create the floor plan and select from numerous high end options. No request was denied and upcharges were minimal. Bart Homes seamlessly handled permits and all other necessary approvals with the village.
> After 2-3/4 years, we are still impressed with the superior construction quality and attention to detail. We are continually reminded of the specific changes and/or tweaks we requested during the process that Brian’s team simply accommodated. We have no regrets with the final outcome of the project.
> Total cost was very competitive and stayed within our original budget. The payment plan during construction was never high pressure and Brian’s team arranged a direct payment system for simplicity.

> We interviewed MANY home builders - from custom to big box, stick built to prefab and were impressed with the unique designs of Bart Homes. After interviewing the owner, Brian Bart, we were equally impressed with his commitment to providing the best design that met our needs and a willingness to cheerfully listen to and answer our endless questions.
>
> Every requirement we had was met with a solution so we decided to build with him and have not regretted it. We've been in our new home for over 6 months now and are extremely happy with both the quality and beauty of it.
>
> Bart Homes is dedicated to bringing a superior product to its customers with a high level of integrity you don't see often anymore. Thank you to Brian and his company for making our dream a reality.

> Brain Bart at Bart Homes has a proven track record of building high quality homes for a great price! Personally I have worked on the financing on a few of his homes, and each home has appraised for more than what he charged. In today's real estate industry this is rarely seen!
>
> His professionalism is only superseded by his integrity, quality and craftsmanship.

> We used Bart Homes for the construction of our home in the Dayfield subdivision of Plainfield, IL. We were very impressed with the quality of the home and have received numerous compliments on the beauty of the home. I thought Brian was very helpful and honest throughout the whole experience and would feel very comfortable in recommending him to anyone interested in having a beautiful home built.

> Bart Homes has a focus of quality and craftsmanship. I have had the honor of working with them on almost a hundred completed projects from basement remodels, commercial wine bars, and the luxury home market. They are very organized and very committed to serving the customer's best interest. They are very focused on quality, energy efficiency, and the overall value of their customer's investment.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What brand of front door and style** *(in Photo Questions)*

Was wondering about the front door

A: Brand is ThermaTru, part of the "American" series. The outside has a dentil shelf molding. It is a stainable fiberglass door, has a woodgrain texture. Because this home was just completed during winter, we are waiting untill spring to finish the stain coat, but it looks great even bare! Here is a link for you: http://thermatru.com/products/entry/fiberglass-entry-doors/cca/index.aspx
