The homeowner's association hired CertaPro to do some outside painting and powerwashing. I thought it may be easier and less expensive to use them. > > My garage door had been painted a few years ago and was in good shape when they arrived. The painted trim and front door and powerwashed the house. After they left in the fall of 2013 the paint stared peeling from my garage door. I called the homeowners association to report issue. It was too late in year to be repainted so the door. This Spring the association contacted CertaPro and they said it was not their fault. They said they were not responsible if the door was previously painted. That was not explained to homeowners prior to work. Then they said it was due to extreme cold winter, but the peeling began before winter and before extreme cold in late fall. Now I owe them for destroying the door and have to pay someone else to repaint it or have the door replaced. > > I gave then 2 options: repaint the door (correctly) or not expect to be paid for work.
