> Disappointed with the individual that completed the layout and template for not pointing out where additional 'shimming' should have been done by us before day of install and being told they would have to come back after charging us another $300-400.  Then, not a single follow-up call from salesman or anyone after completion of the work.  I imagine they knew what they may hear.  With the multitude of options in the area, I'd suggest shopping around.

In earlier communications, the company representative said “We avoid surface polishing in the field…” In this case it was not avoided and now we are left with the damage that has been done. I asked if anything could be done to resolve this and was told no.

> They have a good selection of Granite.  The prices are a bit high but reasonable.  The sales staff is nice.  We ended up buying granite for our kitchen.  Unfortunately, when the guy came to make the templates he was not clear that some of the wall cabinets should be removed so the countertops could be installed.  Keep in mind the cabinets were installed by the cabinet makers who were also never told by Absolute that having them installed might be an issue.  So after two weeks of waiting for countertops, the installers show up and say that they cannot install one of the countertops and that the cabinets need removing.  Then the lying started, the installers indicated they could come back whenever we got the cabinets taken down, oh but they did not mention the additional installation cost.  Oh and the guy who came to make the templates insisted he told my wife that "those cabinets need to be taken down."  So when my cabinet installer was able to coordinate a day where he could come in the morning to take down the cabinets and wait for Absolute to install the countertop so he could then reinstall the cabinets, Absolute's installers were 45 minutes late.  Then they were in no hurry to get it done as it was their only installation for the day.  So they made everyone sit on their hands while they took nearly 2 hours to install one countertop!  I would not recommend this company for your countertop needs.

> I cannot say enough good things about Absolute Tile and Stone. I hired them to install granite countertops in our newly renovated kitchen. I got two other bids before I hired them. Absolute Tile and Stone had the best price and a great selection to choose from. I was very overwhelmed in the beginning because there are so many choices, but they made it easier and gave me some good advise to make my granite choice a fun process. Every employee was very friendly and very helpful (and I mean "every" employee). I talked to several of the workers and they love working for AT&S. Happy workers create a better product. They have so much pride in their work it really shows. They also really care about the customer. We had a slight problem installing our faucet because of the cabinets we had installed. I called AT&S to just get some advice, but they sent someone out within 30 minutes to fix the situation for us. The whole process was so easy and painless, that I just wish I could hire them for the rest of my home renovations. All other contractors should take a lesson from Absolute Tile and Stone. I couldn't be happier and wish them much continued success in the future.

They were able to coordinate their installation schedule with the cabinet makers so the kitchen was done in two days. I was so impressed with them that I had them back to cut and install new counter tops in both our bathrooms.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Need help with kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Trying to update my kitchen on an extremely limited budget. We just finished painting the cabinets and have some of the new hardware applied. Would like ideas
for wall and countertop color, also flooring. The room measures 19 x 13.

A: Where are you located? I love the two tone cabinet colors! Very well done. The hardware really compliments the space too. We would be happy to help explore a granite or quartz countertop for your kitchen. I would be happy to come out for a free in home estimate of the countertops. We can provide removal of existing tops and all the associated plumbing work. You are so close to being finished! From there I would invite you to our showroom to see our slab inventory. Is this 3/4" marble?

A: wowww. Please see the countertop edge profile drawing attached.  Now draw your attention to the eased edge and the bullnose edge.  On the bottom of the eased edge, the corner is square as opposed to the bullnose's rounded bottom edge.  Does this answer your question?
