At NASITRA, we are artisans first.. There is an old saying that sums up who we are........"A man who works with his hands is a laborer. A man who works with his hands and his mind is a craftsman. A man who works with his hands, his mind and his heart is an artisan."

We specialize in design and implementation of fine woodworking, but also work in other mediums that complement this category.
Our focus is on the design and architectural details that make an ordinary project become extraordinary.
DESIGN:
For the DIY customer, we would love to assist with design advice on a project you are considering.
. For those that prefer to use their trusted long term contractors to execute a plan, we are available to make an on site visit during early project planning to offer ideas and recommendations.
For those customers who seek a turnkey installation, we can design, build and install our own products, within the realm of upgrades to existing cabinetry, unique home furnishings and accessories.
Our consulting fee is $75 per hour, If you choose to have us implement your design, the consulting fee is waived.
 NOTE:
While we prefer to provide consulting services that focus on design solutions, we are also available to evaluate technical problems with housing and to offer recommendations for solutions to those issues.
ARTISAN GRADE WOODWORKING:
While we primarily work with fine woods as a medium, we also design and build accessories using other natural products such as stone. As much as possible we strive to maximize the use reclaimed materials. We prefer to see components of unwanted antique furniture and lumber from old buildings incorporated into works of art rather than ending up in landfills.
REFERRAL TO SPECIALISTS:
If you would like for us to see your design through to reality, we can either provide that service or refer you to specialists who can. If your requirements call for an architect, we can provide a referral...

> Review by H Williams
> I have used Butch Nall’s services for over 30 years. He is currently working with us on architectural design and construction advice regarding a project at our recently purchased home in East Atlanta village.
> One of my earliest involvements with Butch was during the early 1980’s. I was the Project Manager on a condominium-conversion of a landmark high-rise residential building located in the heart of Buckhead . I had the pleasure of working with Butch Nall who was hired to accomplish the re-design and subsequent re-model of nearly two-hundred residential units--many of which were occupied at the time. Butch updated the galley kitchens and traditional baths with an eye for visual appeal and functionality. The new homeowners found the fresh classic aesthetics more than appealing! Not only were the renovations completed in accord with Nall's craftsman-like expectation for quality, but each re-model was executed carefully, quietly and efficiently as many of the units were occupied by the their owners! During the entire conversion process, Butch worked seamlessly with all other organizing facets of the conversion-to-condo process....substantially contributing to the incredible success of the project and the complete satisfaction and enjoyment of each new homeowner.
> During the 1990’s, Butch designed and built my husband’s law office suite. When greater staffing was required, he designed and built an expansion of the space that appeared seamless upon completion.
> Last year, we turned to Butch, now operating under the NASITRA name, when we decided to add a two vehicle carport to the back yard of our one-hundred and fifteen year old Craftsman-style home in East Atlanta Village. My husband and I are considered hardcore DIY'ers and wanted to do the construction work ourselves -not only because there can be cost savings, but because we thoroughly enjoy projects and working with our hands. Our new carport needed to provide additional storage as well as complement the design of our home. We hired NASITRAl to develop a design and to provide materials and construction consultation. Butch created a functional and architecturally consistent design by incorporating a steep pitch roof with two large dormer windows and an ingenious old-world style hoist beam. NASITRA way exceeded our expectations for function and aesthetics! As a Materials and Construction Consultant, Butch provided us with a detailed materials list that included the exact quantity of each item needed (from nails to shingles). The Construction Timetable detailed the proper succession of construction tasks and the appropriate interfacing of related tasks. Butch designed a set of interrelated clear span roof trusses and built the original template for us to use a pattern. He helped us think though potential grading, drainage and landscaping issues that would need to be addressed before and after construction.
> Butch is organized, thorough and efficient professional. There is no doubt that his assistance has and will continue to save us countless time, energy and money. Our weekend construction project is now well underway with confidence. Working with NASITRA is a win-win for any residential remodeling project planning. large or small. And DIY'ers or not, you will likely come away from the experience Artisan- awed and inspired, in the truest sense of the word!

> Over the years, I have worked with Butch Nall on residential and commercial projects. From an architect's point of view, what worked best with Butch was his diligence and thoroughness. This included looking ahead and asking questions on how to get it right the first time. He always took a craftsman's point of view...including the more mundane aspects of residential construction, but especially where the craftsmanship really shines to the homeowner. These are the kind of qualities needed to do the work he is embarking on with NASITRA. I recommend Butch without any hesitation!

> I have known Butch Nall and used his services for over 30 years. He is creative, thinks outside the box, and is a true artisan with wood and design. He has done repairs on our homes that that others were not able to do and they are marvelous...he made a piece of cedar furniture for us which is wonderful.
> His abilities to problem solve are not limited to wood working and construction but he has an ability to deal with people and personnel issues too. He led, as President, our home owners association multiple times with great success.
> He is a great guy with true talent in his field.

> Butch Nall has done wonders for our house. Before we moved in he helped change the character of our great room by replacing a formal fireplace with a fabulous stacked stone fireplace. The plain back deck was redesigned to include a wonderful vaulted screened porch based on what I suggested to him on the back of a paper napkin. A couple of years later he remodeled our kitchen. Next, the master bath in which he replaced a white tile shower with stone tiles, meticulously designed by him.
>
> Butch has the design ability of an architect coupled with construction skill and a commitment to excellence. We have the highest regard for him and have, and would entrust any construction project in our home to his capable hands.

> Butch is the best. He is detail oriented and also gave me lots of ideas. He is a true craftsman and takes pride in his finished work. He completely redid our master bath and we are pleased with the results. He also did the "man cave" and my husband loves it. He is a professional, trustworthy, and a delight to work with.

> Our friends all recommended Butch for our remodel, and they were right. We have owned houses for 50 years, and he is the best contractor we have seen. He is tenacious with details, has the ability to fabricate complex custom pieces, and has competence in every area from woodworking to electronics. He is easy to work with, and totally honest. We wound up remodeling our kitchen and living areas, and are completely pleased with the result.

> We've hired Butch on multiple occasions over the years. I don't think we have a room he hasn't remodeled or refreshed in some way -- kitchen, den, bathrooms, basement, etc. Butch's attention to detail is incredible, and this is coming from a person with their own punch list. Butch brings his years of experience and what he sees as popular in the market to make recommendations on style and what makes sense. We've recommended him to several people who have all raved about the quality of his workmanship and frankly, what a nice person he is.
