> They claimed to be able to make a table to agreed specs, shipped us one that doesn't stand up to normal use, blamed us for the problem, and have gone dark when we asked for our money back.

> We spoke with CMH when we were looking to get a stainless steel dining table made. We wanted a 36” x 48” table with 1¾” square legs. They said their standard square leg is 3”, but after checking on the possibility of a 1¾" square leg, said that they could do 1½” square legs. We agreed to that. The quote looked good to us, we made full payment, and approved the shop drawings for fabrication.

> When we received the table, we were dismayed to find that it has a serious problem - the table sways with very little sideways pressure. Just using a knife to cut food on a dinner plate caused significant swaying. We contacted CMH, explained the problem, and asked for a refund. They replied that the swaying was due to the fact that we were “adamant” about using smaller legs. (They had never mentioned any concerns about table stability when we were discussing the design of the table. If they had done so we would not have gone ahead with the order. There were two iterations of quotes and three iterations of shop drawings, with no mention of any issues or problems.)

> Option 1: Send the table back for the engineers to “take a look at it” and “try and figure out a solution”. Given that:

> \- The shop drawings were either not checked, or negligently checked, by their engineers;
> \- They went ahead and shipped out a table which they realized had a stability problem;

> Option 2: Return the table, which involves a 25% restocking fee, and return shipping is our responsibility. This option would involve us losing about $1,000.

> We let CMH know that this defective table resulted from their internal failures (in engineering design, and quality control checks prior to shipping), and that we therefore should not have to bear any costs for the return. We suggested working together on a satisfactory resolution to the problem. CMH, up to this point so prompt with email replies, failed to respond and went dark. We are left with a table we cannot use, still in need of a dining table, and are out nearly $2,000.

What is the type of counter & color

A: Hello- I am not sure about the countertop material. We just fabricated the custom hood, and that is made from zinc with a darkened patina finish.

What’s the weight  24"x24"x29" pedestal?

A: You would need to order that size directly from our website. The swirl finish is the same stainless steel but with a hand applied swirl finish.

Can this hold a 60" round 250lbs tabletop?

A: No, this Neptune Base is not strong enough for your top. You will want to go with the Twist Base.

**Q: 60 inch 200 lbs marble table base** *(in Product Questions)*

hi, I’m looking for base for 60 inch 200 lbs marble table. Will the largest size base can serve the purpose?

A: Yes, if it is a 60” diameter top, then the 24” Twist Base. If it is a 60” square top, then the 30” Twist Base.

**Q: can these be installed into a brick fireplace?** *(in Product Questions)*

As well, are they sturdy enough to hold a microwave when installed onto said brick fireplace? Thank you! The reviews and questions already asked are very helpful.

A: Hello. Please see the attached image of what the internal frame looks like. As long as you can drill and install brick anchors in the wall, this frame can be attached to the brick. And the shelf slides over this frame and can support approx 60lbs.

Sent all my info including cc. I got an email that was  in my junk mail  that was basically an estimate. For a hood.  I didn’t  find the email until today . Thought the hood would be here on Feb 14?  On the house web site it looks like when you order  the hood it is in the stock so why did I get an estimate ? And not a confirmation
