> Warning! Be careful if you hire this company
>
>
> I had a horrible experience with precision painting plus. The crew who painted my apartment was very careless. They dripped paint on my carpet, my wood floor, my stove, my clothes, my air conditioner, my window screen and my ceiling fans. When they finished the job in two days, they left holes in my kitchen wall that were supposed to be repaired and uneven lines in various places on the walls. The the doors that they painted now stick to the door posts and paint chips fall on the floor when you open and close the doors. In addition, they did not paint certain spots on my staircase, and when they try to repaint them, the color came out different from the original job. Also, after two weeks, the pain started peeling. I know this company has good reviews overall, but honestly, I think it was the crew who did the job. Joel and Oscar were the leaders of the crew. Thomas, the project manager, did try to make everything right by coming back with the painters several times, but there are still issues. I do not want them back in my apartment because I feel that these issues will just reoccur after they come back. For example, I still have pain sticking to the inside of my door even after they came back a third time to fix it. After they painted it the second time to try to fix the issue, I made sure, based on their recommendation, to give at least 12 hours to let the paint dry fully. If you hire this company, please make sure to not get the team of Joel and Oscar.
>
> Addendum: just to clarify, some of the issues I included pictures of were addressed after the fact during the multiple subsequent visits. However, I don’t believe there should have been that many issues that needed to be corrected in the first place. This is the reason for my review.

**★★★★★ — Jan G, May 2023**

> Precision Painting Plus absolutely met and exceeded all expectations. Not only was the crew very respectful and did a fantastic job, but their manager Damien absolutley hit it out of the ballpark from day one by keeping all of his promises. I will use them again in the future and refer them to all of my friends, family and neighbors.
>
> Thanks, guys!

**Comment from Precision Painting Plus:**

> We’re so happy to hear you had a great experience with Precision Painting Plus. Your review made our day! Our whole team works very hard to keep our customers happy, but we can only do it thanks to customers like you. Thanks again, and we hope to work with you again soon.

> From start to finish, PPP was great. They assigned an in-office project manager, Juliana, as well as a field supervisor, John, so the communication was thorough and organized for the whole job. They re-painted our entrance hall, and did a lot of patching and painting to make the walls and wood work around the stair we had replaced look like new. Jasser, the lead painter, was friendly and meticulous. They stuck to their original time schedule and price quote. I would recommend them highly and would certainly use them again.

> This company is horrible. I used them last year to paint my house. I relied on their expertise to properly prep and paint my 5500sf home. Even while they were doing the job I had to have them come back multiple times due to incomplete work. They left paint splatters all over my patio and copper trim and did not even ultimately finish many areas.
>
> A few months after they "finished," the paint started bubbling and pealing in areas (see just a few pictures). After having to chase them for weeks they finally came back to assess the damage and try to fix the issues. Months later the issues came back. I have been trying now for months to get them to make good the the "2 year warrantee" they guarantee. Matt Winn and Adam have both given me the run around, passing blame to everyone else. All the while more bubbling is happening and now they tell me there is a moisture issue and thus its not there fault.
>
> OFF COURSE THERE IS MOISTURE BECAUSE THE PAINT JOB WAS NOT PREPPED PROPERLY AND WHEN WATER POOLS AS A RESULT AND ITS NOT FIXED THERE BECOMES A MOISTURE PROBLEM!
>
> This is even when I hired them precisely to fix an issue such as this from the beginning. There was no mention of any moisture issue despite them assessing the house at the outset and thus we went with THEIR plan.
>
> I have now had 4 other painters (one being their's) come out and universally state that they did a horrible job all around and the job was not prepped properly. Now they want a "Neutral" party to come out that they picked (so much for neutral) to try to skirt the blame for their lack of expertise that got us here in the first place.
>
> I will be suing them and I would not recommend anyone every consider using them unless they want shoddy work and horrible customer service.

**Comment from Precision Painting Plus:**

> Hi Mr Stenton, thank you for your willingness and cooperation in resolving all the issues you have mentioned. I am glad we were able to turn your experience around and ensure that you are satisfied. We wish you all the best

> Due to water damage sustained by a broken pipe, I hired them to re-sheet rock a portion of the wall in my dinning room , re-paint the dinning room and living room, re-sheet rock approximately 15ft. of wall (floor to ceiling) in my down stairs room, tear down and replace ceiling (room size approximately 16x20), paint entire room and ceiling, tear down, replace and stain the molding and wood work in the entire room.. The job was completed in the prescribed timeframe that they quoted. The workman ship was more than fantastic. They were professional, neat, courteous and accommodating. I couldn't ask for a better job. I would highly recommend them.

> I just want to take the time to review Precision Painting. We recently have been taking advantage of COVID season to remodel. So we decided to start off by painting. We did research online and found this company. After reading many good reviews, we decided to give this company a shot.
>
> After speaking with the office staff, an team member James came to our home (proper safety precautions) and took a walk through of our home and the desired rooms painting. We also requested floors to be remodeled. He was very thorough and upfront about what needed to be done. We never felt pressured to commit, neither was he pushy. Because of his professionalism, knowledge and kind demeanor, we were drawn to go with Precision painting plus.
>
> Soon after, we agreed to a scheduled date, a contract was written and we choose paint colors. Everything went smoothly via email and the paint chosen (Benjamin Moore) was high quality! They are flexible and easy to work with when it comes to each individual.
>
> The day of service the crew came on time as told. Mateus, Erick, and Icar, the painting crew did a good job with the paint job! Not only was it fast but they were clean and precise. Even ceilings that had beams looked as if they were brand new. By the time they finished it was as if i walked into a new home!
>
> Overall ,I would highly recommend them. Their service exceeded my expectations! You won't be disappointed!!

**Comment from Precision Painting Plus:**

> Precision Painting Plus was incredibly overpriced, unprofessional, sloppy and rude. They painted my living room and master & primed a second bedroom and hallway. They did not sand the french pocket doors before painting so the paint came off within 2. They did not tape off any hardware, floor or glass of the french doors so there was paint on my doorknobs, floor and doors. When I pointed out the paint on the glass their technicians told me to "scrape it off with my finger nail". After pointing out the areas that needed touch ups 2 rounds later, I asked for is credit since they were unwilling or unable to fix the outstanding issues. They gave me an insignificant amount back which did not ladder up to the estimate given so I asked for a breakdown of the costs. They refused and told me a breakdown of the cost was unreasonable to ask. They then followed up by demanding payment of the balance less than 5 days after they finished work then threatened to send me to collections without providing the invoice I had asked for.

> We hired Precision to paint two rooms and to scrape and smooth two stucco ceilings. The Project Manager, Michael, was polite and professional. His was the only estimate that did not involve demolition and re- sheet rocking. His workers were neat, pleasant and did a GREAT job. My ceilings are as smooth as glass, which Michael promised. Already planning to bring them back for more work. Btw, the Project Manager came during the job to monitor the progress. Thoroughly satisfied.

> I hired Precision Painting to paint my pool. They charged me $1300. The painters were professional and the pool was a nice, even royal blue. Unfortunately, the paint faded to a light blue in 8 weeks. We also experienced significant chalking (footprints appeared wherever you would step). I informed them of this problem. My Project Coordinator was Anthony Adames. Ken Sanford was the Senior Project Manager. At this time, they said fading was normal for a pool. I told them the last paint job last 8 years, faded evenly and we did not experience chalking. I asked them to come look before the end of the season. They did not. They sent a Benjamin Moore in the spring after a number of calls. His name was Anthony Aleman. He was prompt and responsive. Unfortunately, he looked at the already faded paint and stated, "While I understand the pool was just painted one year ago you need to expect some fading over time due to the UV exposure as well as the chemicals being used in the pool." Precision Painting walked away from me. I am hiring another company to paint the pool. While the result was completely unacceptable, the customer service and care was worse. They made a poor effort (after accepting my money) to right the wrong. They did not see the pool in its current state although I requested a visit and the only action was after numerous contacts. I had another company paint the pool. At the end of the summer, the color is the same illustrating PPP's poor performance. I am a loyal customer with the many of the same service providers for the 20+ years I have lived in Westchester. While I have seen that they respond to the reviews, customer service is poor. They did not show care to me as a customer. Precision Painting is not recommended.

> The project manager was excellent as well as the workers on both jobs. One job was for power washing outside and other job was painting a room inside. The workers showed up as scheduled and were careful on the property.

**Comment from Precision Painting Plus:**

> Dear Susan,
> What great feedback!! Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We are thrilled to see that you were happy with the workmanship and customer service you received. I will be sure to share your feedback with the team.

> In case the scope of your project is a standard painting or a simple carpentry job often accompanying the painting, based on what I have seen, I would recommend them. However, if the scope is anything beyond -- do not hire them. We had a real misfortune with Precision Painting Plus, and I truly hope it does not happen to others.
>
> First off, there is the issue of incompetent project management and supervision. This is probably not a concern if the project is small in scope, but needless to say, this is a serious problem if it is months long and the matter occurs repeatedly. As an example, they had workers coming over without a proper idea what had been done the day before or earlier by their other workers, or where they needed to continue. They occasionally missed to even perform a required step (e.g., sanding a wall) because they thought it had already been completed. (It did not occur to them that the wall was obviously and visibly not sanded or flattened.) On one occasion (and I had to explain to them that it can't happen again) they had construction waste removal at 10 P.M. Ignore the fact that it is obviously a violation of (any) village or town ordinance; it was their own safety hazard. Overall, there does not appear to be any kind of meaningful intermediate quality control which resulted in several redos of some aspects of the works. Around one third into the project timeline, it became obvious it was a runaway, downbound, train and something had to be done. I made a major mistake by not dismissing them at that point.
>
> Next, one could interpret their sales pitch / work-order-agreement as either incorrect -- if one assumes that the salesperson is ignorant or unqualified and does not know what it takes to execute and complete the required job -- or, worse, knowingly engaged in bait-and-switch of a customer. This is a grand issue with them, but let me point out but one specific example, whereby the contract states, for the purpose of removing the existing ceiling and installing a new one, that they shall "-Remove ceiling. Install new sheetrock. Tape, compound, prime and paint. \*remove and reinstall in same locations all can lights.\*". Once they had demolished the ceiling, they came up with a change of order for additional (thousands of dollars) to perform "Framing: Flatten ceiling, ..." I will leave to others to judge if it is fair from a contractor to tell you they will demolish and install a new ceiling, then say, after it had all commenced, they need to charge you for the frame for the new ceiling -- as if you buy a car only to be told you need to pay for the chassis additionally (not before you put your deposit with them). However, the most egregious situation is that they failed to deliver some core promises when we negotiated the contract. Either by ignorance or by the design the contract turned out to be profoundly misleading, whereby the customer is repeatedly tripped by one sort or the other of additional charge.
>
> A further concern with Precision Painting Plus is poor workmanship of their subcontractor. Perhaps not all of their subcontractors are inept, but one given to us was. I have to say that later they did bring in a new flooring subcontractor -- much better than the original -- to continue the remaining required work. In summary, the end result is that we need to hire a new contractor to fix and redo some parts of their (original) subcontractor's work concerning flooring.
>
> Finally, the most depressing part of our encounter with Precision Painting Plus -- one hopefully other potential customers will choose not to experience -- is the overall shoddy work of the most important part and the ultimate target of the project -- installing new wall and ceiling. To testify to the quality of their work, and to summarize it without going into gory details, it is such that we need to hire a new, qualified, contractor to demolish what Precision Painting Plus performed -- around 20-30% of it -- and redo this (substantial) part of the overall remodel. I tried to negotiate with them that they pay for the fixes that the new contractor needs to perform, but they fell short. I don't have a problem with people making mistakes (we all do) as long as they fix it. Precision Painting Plus does not stand behind their work. We are in the process of filing legal action. I must say that they appear to be really nice and affable folk -- but unfortunately, there is lots of incompetence among them, speckled with some quality workers here and there from what I have seen. Stay safe and look elsewhere if the scope of your project involves more than painting and your house demands quality and precision work.
