Garrett worked alongside his father for several years learning the ins and outs of sales and purchasing in the granite and marble industry and travelling to factories in Brazil, India and China to select material. After moving to Miami, Garrett and his father teamed up to open SOBE Stone, named after their favorite area-the thriving cultural hotspot of South Beach. Originally we wanted marble as we didn't know that if water is not wiped off the stone it tends to stain the surface. They were very patient with us despite our changing our minds several times.
