The first time was 7 years ago on a remodel (which was on budget and on time) and we just completed a new build with him. I constantly hear my friends tell me about their frustrations with their contractors (missed budget, missed deadlines, poor communication etc) and we feel so fortunate to have found Thomas Development because that has NEVER been the case with them. Both Matthew and Lindsay are EXTREMELY organized which is critical when there are so many decisions that need to be made. They literally think of everything and really work with you to create a finished product that matches your style. They are very transparent throughout the entire process and jump through hoops to keep the project on track. Despite so many set-backs (weather was not on our side, COVID hit two months into our project etc), they still managed to get us in just a few weeks after our original move in date. I would never use another contractor and I HIGHLY recommend Thomas Development. I was introduced to many different potential contractor builders through our architecture firm but through my own diligence, found Thomas D&C. I am so glad I did. Our project was a significant challenge as it was a remodel/expansion to a home that had already been renovated. Matthew Thomas was absolutely phenomenal to work with. He communicated with me - frequently. He was on site nearly every day. He would spot areas where I could save money and still not compromise the look and quality I/we wanted. He involved me every step of the way with a management tool that told me where we were in the process and what was coming up next as well as the timeline to completion. When something wasn't right or to my liking, he never debated, he just delivered and resolved the matter to my satisfaction. In the end, he was still "proactively" fixing, repairing or touching up things that I had not even noticed. He and Lindsay's attention to detail are extensive. It's no wonder they build the high-quality product that they do as nothing gets by them. Our project came in on time and within budget. While you will appreciate how easy it is to work with TD&C, what you will appreciate most is the QUALITY of their work! A: I'm sorry, but this was before we used online project management software that now houses all selections. I apologize but don't have a record of this grout color. If I had to guess I would say it's Custom Building Products Delorean Gray. **Q: Where did you order the open shelf cabinet?** *(in Photo Questions)* I have a similar dead space corner and I'd like to run an open shelf under the counter to tuck in hampers or other storage boxes. All cabinet sellers tell me they could only do a normal cabinet and leave off the door. It would look unfinished. Any advice? A: Hi Amy, these were custom made cabinets. Is it a working fireplace? A: It is a working fireplace. You can get these from a number of places. These were purchased online, but I can't recall the exact source.
