It was our first time doing a renovation in a newly bought home and certainly our biggest life "project" to date. We had our entire kitchen remodeled with new appliances installed, along with changing the flooring in the dining area and also getting new paint in both areas, as well as new light fixtures and floating shelves. Roomscapes made it very easy and the whole team is one of the most professional, experienced and courteous one will find. They made it happen within our budget and their predicted timeline was pretty much on point. Can't say enough great things about Julie Wilkins, our designer. She is super talented and knows her stuff. She was really great at figuring out our tastes and giving very welcome, sound, thoughtful and tasteful input, which is super fantastic because there are a million choices to make when designing an entire kitchen which can be somewhat overwhelming. Julie made what could have been a very stressful experience a lot of fun. She is a truly exceptional designer. She made our little galley kitchen quite extraordinary. The construction team were also equally awesome to work with, Andres and his guys and all others involved were very professional, efficient and friendly. They are amazing, hard-working craftsmen, the level of skill and attention to detail is highly impressive. They did a fantastic job cleaning up daily which was greatly appreciated as well. All around, just super reliable and very trustworthy, we knew the job was being executed properly and nothing was ever forgotten, no detail left out. These guys are the best professionals. Needless to say, we feel extremely lucky to have found Roomscapes and are in fact working with them again soon to have some more work done in the house. Existing granite counter tops, backsplash, cabinets, and old appliances were removed. Quartzite counters were installed with a waterfall on the peninsula side. Travertine bricks were used for our backsplash with three rows of Tommy Bahama one-inch glass tiles forming a 3" band around the walls. We purchased and installed completely new appliances; Sub-Zero PRO48 refrigerator and 30" integrated wine storage cooler, Wolf 48" dual-fuel range w/ 6 burners and griddle, Wolf 24" transitional microwave, along with an Asko 24" dishwasher, and Kallista sink with a Rohl faucet (all in Stainless Steel finish). The finished product is incredible. We love it so much. We were quoted 6 weeks from start to finish and I have to say it was exactly 6 weeks to the day that the project was finished. The Roomscapes workers were incredibly professional and courteous to us throughout the whole process. We couldn't have asked for it to run any smoother. We don't know why we took so long to make the decision to go ahead with the project. It was not something that interfered with our daily lives. Thank you to Rick and Debbie for holding our hands and guiding us through from the beginning. We had no prior experience of ever doing any of this type of work to our home. A: t was a custom Vent a Hood, stainless steel with a polished stainless steel lip. No bands. they now offer this combination in their standard line but it has vertical bands. **Q: Room dimensions** *(in Photo Questions)* I love your use of the space. What are the room dimensions? I desperately need my home office done as well and would also be interesting in knowing the budget. We are in OC and might like to meet you for a consultation. A: This room was about 11’ wide, but the cabinets are custom so we can help you create an office that will fit your space. A: steelcase **Q: Height** *(in Photo Questions)* How do we determine if we should have home office built up to ceiling or only go 8 foot when we have a 10 foot ceiling ? A: Sometimes it's a visual decision...it can be too tall and over power the space. Other times its a question of gaining additional storage, or perhaps you don't want to worry about a dust collection area. This office is more contemporary, so the open space above the cabinetry helps with the scale of the cabinets to the room.
