## About

### Houzz Badges

- Houzz Influencer
- Recommended on Houzz

I started making decor and furniture out of reclaimed wood in an effort to give meaningful, handmade gifts to friends and family on special occasions. The more items we made, the more my wife and I kept hearing this phrase: "You guys should start selling this stuff."

Every item we sell is handmade in our shop by either me, or my apprentice, Trevor. I am committed to staying small enough that I can always be directly involved in the building of our items. If you are looking for unique, meaningful, high quality, handmade items, then we hope you find something you like in our store!

> I was very happy with Drakestone designs! I purchased a reclaimed wood box that I thought would go perfectly on my dining table or entryway. The order came quickly, but when it did I noticed some of the wood was "too rustic" for my taste- it looked like it had been rotted away in a couple of places. I sent an email to the seller and shared with them my concern, along with a couple of pictures, and within 24 hours they had a new box shipped out to me! I could not be more happy with the customer service I have received. Prompt, friendly, and beautiful pieces to boot. I can't wait to get it on display!

> I ordered several "thankful" boxes made out of reclaimed wood for Christmas gifts. My order was ready quickly and I loved the character of each box. They were all well put together and sturdy and I appreciated the personal touch of "thankful" and "blessed" on the boxes that made each gift unique. I ended up ordering another one for myself! My friends really liked their gift as well. One friend said she put mason jars in it for pens and office supplies. Another uses it for mail. I love that it was such a usable gift. I will definitely look into other products from Drakestone for future gifts and home use.

> Drakestone Designs created beautiful reclaimed wood bookshelves that I put on the wall of our daughters nursery. They turned out perfectly and match the shabby chic look I wanted for the room. I was quite surprised when the bookshelves so arrived quickly (within a week of me placing my order). Craftsmanship and customer service was great!

> The hand-crafted items in my home from Drakestone Designs are a perfect fit for our style. The pieces are functional and receive all kinds of compliments from people who come to my home. Love this company and the people who run it!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Restock?!?!?** *(in Product Questions)*

Any chance of a restock on this item?

A: Yes, didnt realize it was sold out :)

**Q: Can you make one for me that is 30" W x 42"H?** *(in Product Questions)*

A: Yes. We could do one that size for $145 with freee shipping. Let me know if that works. Thanks

**Q: chalkboard with barn wood frame** *(in Product Questions)*

what are the dimensions

A: The item is 24" tall and 12" wide.

**Q: moving item mbarrassment .** *(in Product Questions)*

How to I delete a pripl?posign for a future purchase?

A: You'll have to check with Houzz support on that.

**Q: What type of chalk can be used with this chalkboard?** *(in Product Questions)*

Does it require traditional chalk or "liquid" chalk that I've seen noted for similar products?

A: Either type of chalk will work. The markers will leave kind of a dark shadow after erased. One way around this is to cover the chalkboard with it, then erase it. That way you have that shadow on the whole thing. But normal chalk works well and will not leave any shadow.

**Q: Hey There! Wondering if you can use liquid chalk/chalk markers. Thx** *(in Product Questions)*

A: Yes, you can. It will come off fine, but it will leave a bit of a shadow (like, darker black) after erased. One way around this is to cover the board with it once, so that the whole board has that shadow.
