> If you want a construction project done well, Clara is a MUST have! Clara saved us and our project. What started as a foundation replacement project with the set up for an in-law unit, we spent a year and a half on hold mid project with our house on stilts. The foundation contractor was waiting for us to find a plumber to install rough plumbing and being clueless about construction, our kids being young, and both working full time, we were stuck big time. When Clara came to our house for the first time, she instantly diagnosed our problem: we needed a general contractor. She helped us find and secure a general contractor, and we finally started making progress. Clara's corporate legal background enables her to be an invaluable leader among all stakeholders on the project. For us, her integrity, communication, problem solving, and organization skills are what gave us the confidence to move forward. We now have an amazing in-law unit for my parents, all thanks to Clara.

> Clara and her team are amazing.  We could not be happier with how our house looks and feels.  Also, the ease and transparency of the entire process exceeded all our expectations.  When we bought our house, it was essentially a sterile white box, and we needed to furnish the whole place.  My husband and I are both picky and clueless about home decoration, so we didn't know where or how to start.  When we worked with Banner Day, Clara spent time talking to us about what we liked and asked us to assemble a Pinterest Board of images.  We were all over the place in our feedback (colorful yet calm! modern but not too modern!), yet Clara was able to divine from that an aesthetic and furniture plan that really vibed with us.  Clara also carefully and patiently worked with us through our evolving attitudes about window treatments (surprisingly technical and expensive!).  On top of all that, Clara and her team were always transparent and responsive in their communications. We were never surprised by costs, timing, or any step in the process.  Like anything else, there were unexpected hiccups, but Clara was always on top of it, handling issues and helping us think through solutions.  I really couldn't be happier with the outcome.  Maybe it sounds silly, but the wallpaper in my bathroom brings me so much unexpected joy every day.  I would highly recommend Banner Day to anyone.

> We hired Clara to help with the renovation of our corporate headquarter in Berkeley when we first acquired the space. As a design studio, we had high expectations for the aesthetics of our new space, but at the same time, a relatively tight budget to work with.  We are so lucky that she was willing to take on the challenge. Clara made the contracting process extremely easy- she was transparent about billing rates, scope and her fee structure, etc. and remained respectful of our budget limits. We never once felt pressured to spend more than what we had in mind.

These traits were especially important for a commercial project- Clara played a much bigger role than just being the interior designer. She was hands on with the project management, and also gave us sound advice when we needed to make some difficult decisions. When things were not happening on time, she was not afraid to step up and worked diplomatically with the contractor and architect to move the project along. Without her, our project would definitely have dragged on for another few months. More importantly, Clara made it a priority to always maintain clear lines of communication.
