She is able to resolve conflicting opinions between spouses. Our house was built in 1928 and there were many challenges including replacing the floor which varied by as much as 5 inches. We completey redid the master bedroom, living room and dining room which was a challenge as we wanted a modern house (!) and she pointed out we needed to respect the Spanish heritage. It's actually quite spacious and gets some sunlight. It is currently white and looks almost sterile despite art work. There are two curved walls which can't have anything hang on them . The hall is connected to bedrooms and bathrooms. The ceiling over the first post of the stairs is very high. It's just a lot of space but I also don't want to overwhelm it. A: Revere pewter **Q: White cabinet paint to go with SW Favorite Tan walls?** *(in Paint)* I'm finally ready to tackle painting my 80's oak kitchen cabinets but need advice on picking the right white paint. My kitchen walls are painted SW Favorite Tan. In my southern exposure kitchen the paint's green tones can be obvious but I love the color and don't want to change it at this point. Counters are a light beigey/taupey tile. The budget doesn't allow for changing the tile out yet. Adding another layer of difficulty is the fact that the floors are white tile with a hint of mottled beige and grey in them. Those are also staying for now. The trim in the kitchen is painted Behr Ultra Pure White. I love the clean look of Pure White but suspect it would be a bit stark used as an all over cabinet color. I'm hoping to find a slightly soft, true white with neutral undertones. Does such a paint exist? A: Agree on picking a cabinet color and then adjust wall color! **Q: living room decorating tips** *(in Furniture)* hi all, would love to pick you brain on completing my living room. this is what my living room look like right now. i am adding a coffee table (white exterior powder blue interior) like this: i wonder what is a good piece of furniture to put in the corner between the sofas. i thought about an end table of some sort, but it is likely going to be so low that it is blocked out of view by the sofas. i am thinking of getting a display shelf like this. The top of the shelf (black metal) is ~ 60 inch from the floor, about 2-3 inches tally than the cream floor lights shown here. is the shelf too short? should i pick something taller to create different visual heights? does this shelf fit the overall style of the living room? also, what do you think of the floor lights? do they belong here? thx so much for your input! A: Def you need a large rug and art or mirror on that back wall! **Q: Organization Help Needed!** *(in Design Dilemma)* My husband and I bought a few mid century fixer upper. The house has tiny closets throughout including our front entry. On one side is a double front door, on the other side is a sliding glass door leading to the backyard, there is a door to the garage door tucked in next to the closet and next to the staircase is a sweet little closet that is currently holding our 2 kids shoes and backpacks. My husband started to install the new trim when we decided to pause and rethink a better system. One thought is to tear out mirror and add shelves up to ceiling for more storage.
