> This contractor built a home for us almost 5 years ago. We should have backed out when he emailed us after his initial bid to inform us that our construction would cost 33% more than estimated. And despite putting another $40,000 into the home it still has not appraised for what it cost. His carpenters and many subcontractors were not skilled and finishes in our home were appraised as "fair". He was never at the worksite and the work by subcontractors was not well supervised. The worksite was a mess and for large periods of time construction debris was left in piles outside and inside. Months went by without progress, and our job took 4 months longer than estimated to finish. We would not recommend George for your construction project.
