> Paige, is extremely professional. She drove all the way from LA to the central coast to access our situation regarding the interior and the exterior paint colors for our house. We were having a very difficult time getting the colors just right, and she nailed it right away. We really appreciate her knowledge and experience in this field. We highly recommend her for all your interior and exterior paint consultation. She is literally superb at what she does and you would be hard pressed to find anyone more talented than what she has to offer.

> My wife and I enjoyed working with Paige on our home renovation. We basically gutted a 5,000 sf house and completed an overhaul taking the home's interior from a dark colored, Mediterranean style home filled with ornate chandeliers and vanities, outdated granite colors to a more modern, lighter transitional contemporary design with earthy tones that better fit our aesthetic. Paige was instrumental and helped guide us from the beginning stages of construction through furniture selection and move in. Paige is super smart, a good listener and has a great design eye. She is extremely resourceful and has many valuable contacts with subcontractors, material suppliers and furniture manufacturers. We were amazed when she found a vendor half way across the country to fabricate a custom designed metal range hood. We are extremely happy with how our home turned out! We highly recommend Paige to anyone who is in need of interior design services. She rocks!!!

> Paige is an outstanding designer. During covid Paige designed a remodel for our primary bathroom. We live in Houston and she is in California. Paige was always available via phone, email, text and face time. Consistently in touch with us, the contractors and stayed on top of product selection, purchase and delivery. The results were fantastic. She has also consulted with us on our new home, offering her guidance and expertise for shades, rugs, and furniture. If you want your space designed with ease of mind you can't go wrong with her.

> I thought I could redesign my bathroom myself but realized early on I needed a designer to help me pull my ideas together. Thank god I found Paige. She has an amazing eye for detail and without doubt surpassed my expectations in converting my dated bathroom to one that is modern and chic. She is not only an extremely talented designer, but she also brought great resources to the project. I wanted a custom vanity and windows and she executed flawlessly with a great cabinet maker. Her entire team was meticulous and conscientious and she was very flexible with modifications and great in terms of being on budget and on time.

> Paige helped me redesign my kitchen and I am incredibly thrilled with the results. She gave me advice and guidance while listening to my personal desires and preferences. She has an eye for how different items will work seamlessly together. Her crew is reliable, trustworthy and hard-working. I highly recommend this team and will definitely use them again in the future.

> I really loved everything Paige has designed for our house with a contemporary style. Besides the awesome design work, she is a great communicator in terms of her design philosophy and project planning. She always stays efficient and organized with her great project management skills (like making sure the bottlenecked order be placed early), and lots of attention on details: she has not only bought us matching glasses, silverware, towels, beddings etc, but even coordinated fixing the wood floor and gardening for us.

> A true professional designer, her choice of furniture, lighting fixtures and color palette brought my 1896 farmhouse to it's full potential.
> The attention to detail and the personal touches were the perfect choices for making my home feel warm and inviting while keeping it's farmhouse simplicity.
> From inception to completion her enthusiasm and hard work was felt in every aspect of the job
> Hiring someone with the knowledge and skill to bring all of the elements together and make comfortable tasteful spaces was the right choice for me.

> In 2015, an awful fire destroyed the majority of the contents of my home. A lifetime of memories of travel and family. It was so distressing. A few pieces survived, but the majority went up in smoke. I realized I was going to need the help of a professional so I called a friend whose home I had recently admired, and he referred me to Paige. After the very first meeting, I felt better. Somehow, something upsetting and scary became something hopeful and exciting. Although my home had been done in historical European styles, I thought maybe I wanted something different, something cleaner and fresher. Paige merged the pieces that had survived the fire with much more contemporary styling and the result is beyond anything I could ever have pictured in my head. Sometimes I just stand inside the front door and look at how beautiful my home is, and so does everyone else who comes through the door She introduced unusual shapes and materials and encouraged me to take chances I wouldn't have taken otherwise. So what started as a disaster ended positively and beautifully. I'm happy to provide Paige Saltzman with the very best of recommendations.

> At M Doucette Production, we comprehensively manage photo shoots for our national and regional commercial clients. They rely on us to deliver the best photographers, locations, stylists, set-builders, concepts and execution to promote their campaigns. There is a long standing personal relationship between our president/executive producer, Michele Doucette, and Paige Saltzman, so when we were bumping up against a particularly challenging shoot we turned to Paige for ideas on visual communication of an interior concept. She was great. She came to the process with fresh ideas that were not limited by the usual "hows" of execution. We were able to clear out It really got us brainstorming and the creative output was top notch. Personally, I was skeptical of what an interior designer was going to be able to contribute, but her sense of space and the ability to manipulate it to create illusion and mood was impressive. I highly recommend her work.

> I am more than happy to recommend the services of Paige Saltman of Nanci Paige Design. My project was so small, I wasn't planning to hire an interior designer. I saw a bathroom posted on Apartment Therapy and I really liked a particular tile that was used so I sent an email to the designer who was named in the project, to find out where she got it. Well, it turned out it was original tile from the 1920s, but Paige was more than happy to refer me to a few places who might have similar tile. In fact, I received several quick emails from her with "ideas" over the course of the next few days, even though I had not hired her. She said she liked my concept and it was sticking in her mind. She was funny and easy going and super creative, so I ended up hiring her on a hourly consulting basis even though she is across the country from me! I could tell she had much larger projects to work on, but she always got back to me quickly and I never felt less important than her other clients. My apartment is small but beautiful and so much of it came from brainstorming with Paige. Thanks Paige!

> What a pleasant and great experience!
> I was selling my house in and everyone told me I have to stage it!
> I hired Paige and told her that I do not want to use someone else furniture! Please come, spend time and decide what we should buy on the spot to transform the house.
> My house was a modern and she did a wonderful job!
> The house was snapped from the market after the work she did.
> I'll hire Paige again wherever I go.

## Community Q&A

**Q: what is the kitchen flooring?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Palisades Coastal by Paige Salzman

A: I’m happy to look it up. Just give me some time

**Q: Love the bed! Where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hey Gabriela: the bed was purchased from Hayneedle! Its called "Beverly Hills Furniture Excite leather Upholstered Platform Bed" (Im reading off the invoice as I type :-) ) It shipped pretty quickly and we're satisfied w the quality. Hope that helps!

**Q: Affordable All Black Windows and Doors** *(in Windows)*

I’m having trouble finding affordable windows and doors for new construction that are available in exterior and interior black. I’m not a professional, just planning an addition and have a clean, modern, city design style.

Thanks in advance!

A: Hey Sarah. I just did a recent renovation and used black aluminum frame windows from Home Depot!! They were beautiful and affordable and had the temperature control functionality that is becoming increasingly important now with green design requirements. I believe they were Anderson but I do remember there were different options offered by Home Depot that all came in black aluminum. Attached are 2 pics. The window and sliders are from the product line Im referencing.

**Q: New Built: Getting a 2 story foyer means smaller room, is it worth it.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My husband and I are in the process of building a new home, we are currently in the early stages of making changes to the floor plan. The floor plan has 4 bedrooms and a nice size loft area, and this home will pretty much be our forever home so I want to make sure we really make this home what we always wanted. For as far as I can remember I have always loved the way a 2 story foyer opens up the entrance of a home and just the over all aesthetic of it. The floor plan as is does not have a 2 story foyer, and out of the 3 bedrooms for our kids (we currently have 2 kids but plan on having 3rd in the future) the biggest room 16x12 sits right on top of the foyer along with a 3ft deep x 8ft long closet. We saw the model home and although the floor plan is beautiful I am not impressed by the entrance which is a downer. If I change the floor plan to make way for a 2 story foyer, the feel of the entrance would be amazing, but the now biggest room 16x12 would become a 10x12 room with a 2ft deep x maybe 10ft long closet. Is a 12 x 10 too small of a room? will the 2 story foyer be worth this change? Has anyone done a similar change in their home, if so do you regret or love the change?

A: I think it depends on how you live. if you entertain frequently, initial presentation is important and the drama of the 2 story entry will serve you well. But just like a lot of things in life, what is initially exciting can eventually become just the norm and this might be the case for you. Or it might not. For me personally, my home is my sanctuary and I love every single thing in it and admire it all, daily. But not everyone is like that: for other people its more about functional space. The larger bedroom will be important for resale. The "forever house" doesn't always turn out to be the case. Really, this is a personal decision. There's no right answer. It all depends on whats going to give you the greatest gratification.

**Q: Wallpaper name** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the name of this wallpaper

A: Hey Kris, Im sorry for the delayed response. This wallpaper is sourced from Stark wall coverings. They sell to designers only. If you want more information regarding price or want me to place an order on your behalf, Im more than happy to do so.. Its very elegant and formal.

**Q: Grout color for backsplash?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm using Torreon tumbled brushed travertine (4x4) tile in the backsplash with Typhoon Bordeaux granite countertops. I will also have small 1x1 accent tiles in antique copper patina color interspersed throughout the backsplash. I'm not sure what color grout to use. Should I use one that is the same color as the tile? Or something that coordinates with the tile, granite and accent tiles?

A: When using a natural stone always work w a grout color that essentially disappears bc u want the stone to do the talking. Any contrasting grout color will break up the field. Fun w ceramic tile but not so much w natural stone.
