**Q: Venetian Plaster Question** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful fireplace!  Were there any concerns regarding the Venetian plaster holding up to heat generated by the fireplace?

A: Hi!  Thanks for the question.  Yes we were concerned about venetian plaster reacting with the heat from the fireplace so we held it away from the main firebox.  We never install it immediately adjacent to the glass.  In this case we used a quartz product as the immediate surround.  Hope that helps!

Who is the maker of the front door?

A: The front door was manufactured by Simpson Doors.

**Q: Decking material** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, the home is lovely! Can you tell us what the decking material is? Would a composite have the same look or is wood better looking. Is there a lot of maintenance? Thanks in advance.

A: Hello Sachin, the decking material is Ipe. Composite will not have this varied rich look.  It will look much more monochromatic.  There is no maintenance for this wood species.  It will weather to a nice silver grey.  The only "maintenance" is for aesthetic reasons and you can apply an oil finish to maintain the color.
