You really, really want the process to go smoothly and the result to meet your expectations. When we met with Kreg and Justin Rowe, we had already dispensed with one builder and now were much more scrutinizing in our investigation and selection. We were impressed with their willingness to work with us and accommodate a few special requests. This was very important to us. Next we met their people, team and project manager. All worked hard, all were professional, and all worked to make our house the way we wanted it. Our 5,000 sq. ft. home, with some unique features was completed in 14 months during the covid pandemic. Our neighbors homes (smaller) took 2 and 2.5 years respectively to complete. I want to stress that Tanamera's team never cut corners and addressed any issues straight forward and honestly and always involved us in any critical decision making. These are qualities of a good organization and of good business sense in general. Keep your client involved and happy. I highly recommend Tanamera Construction. They worked diligently and with us directly to make our dream a reality. Our home has received praise from all who have visited and we credit that admiration in great part to our home builder. She was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Making our selections early was key to staying in budget. We did get delayed due to weather, but overall Tanamera stayed on schedule. Even during the COVID crisis, they made progress and delivered on our promise date. Workmanship of their vendors was good, but our project manager and supervisor from Tanamera were key to the success of our project. They have an in-house design team that made the process seamless from start to finish. As this was our first home we built, I can now see in retrospect how difficult it could have been to work with a GC without these assets. To have someone readily available to help with all the design selections at no added cost was invaluable. And working with an architect that has previously designed in the community, and worked with Tanamera, was great. They were aware of the HOA design requirements and restrictions which avoided a lot of revisions and modifications that would have otherwise occurred. The alternative of us finding our own architect with no experience in this area, a designer who has never worked with the general contractor, and a contractor to coordinate the build it would have been a nightmare. Special kudos go out to Jennifer who held my hand and gave me terrific advice as I agonized over every decision. I never knew there were so many styles of doorbell covers, door knob plates, and cabinet/drawer pulls to choose from! She learned my tastes and steered me in the right direction. The team in charge of the construction also deserves much of the credit. When we had a 6-week delay due to a change in the floor plan (from me changing my mind, again) they were able to accommodate the change with the subcontractors. And they dealt with the unexpected huge boulder that was discovered under our lot during the excavation process without an impact to our timeline. I have been impressed with the quality of workmanship. The few minor warranty items have corrected have been handled promptly and without any pushback. I talked to a few of the new neighbors who told me that the site workers were pleasant and responsible in abiding by the HOA rules. Speaking of the HOA, Kreg did a fantastic job of representing us at the HOA’s architectural review board when we were unable to be present in person.
